My Faith Video Again

posted by Beyond Blue | 10:30am Monday October 8, 2007

I’m indebted to my Beliefnet editors who featured my self-esteem video last week as a lead. But I wanted to include my “Why Faith?” video, again, too in case you missed it. The next one is coming on Wednesday. (I think you’ll like that one, as I attempt my own Zoloft commercial …)

Rewire Your Brain For Love: An Interview with Marsha Lucas, Ph.D.
In the spirit of Valentine's Day, I thought I’d feature an interview with a very cool licensed psychologist and neuropsychologist that I was lucky enough to meet in person at a book signing back in September. Marsha Lucas, Ph.D., has been practicing psychotherapy and studying the brain-behavior re

Love Deeply ...
Valentine's Day is a good time to remember all the ways we can be loving, not just to the guy/gal sitting across from you at the kitchen table, but also your boss, your mother, your boss's mother, and her mother. One of my very favorite reflections from Henri Nouwen is "Love Deeply," found in hi

Therapy Thursday: Sweat
I have decided to dedicate a post on Thursday to therapy, and offer you the many tips I have learned on the couch. They will be a good reminder for me, as well, of something small I can concentrate on. Many of them are published in my book, "The Pocket Therapist: An Emotional Survival Kit." Work

Scrupulosity: What It Is and Why It's Dangerous
If you sprinkle a hefty dose of Catholic (or Jewish) guilt unto a fragile biochemistry headed toward a severe mood disorder, you usually arrive at some kind of a religious nut. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! For I am one. I have said many places that growing up Catholic, for me, was

The Treasures of Darkness
We often equate darkness with sorrow, misery, get-me-the-hell-out-of-here reaction. At least I do. That’s why I keep a mammoth Happy Lite on my smallish cubicle at work. But darkness can also be a treasure. Say what? J. R. Miller writes this in “From Streams in the Desert” by L. B. C

Thanks Therese for these videos, it is so much more personal and a revelation as to what you are dealing with in this world (and from what I discovered, you are a very prolific writer, and explaind why you have a space here at bellynet.
I have reached a point in my Life that I am Way beyond the religious concept of God, and am into God’s sense of humor (which nobody thinks is one dam bit funny, except God…and me !) I’m sure a lot of people though like Einstein “I don’t know if there is a God, but if it were me, I would not have done it this Way” And that pretty much sums it up for ALL of us. And that brings us to re-ligion or something to be tied to and or bound by…again! (Which by the Way, Yeshuah, was absolutely against…”I came to set you FREE!”) “I’m free, I’m free …Thank God, I’m free at last!” (ML King)… BOOM!
Do you have to ject, before you can re-ject ? Is it right and proper to be a con-tractor (that’s somebody who is against riding around on those little lawn mowers) I’m a Pro-tractor, I can ride around in circles all day … and loving it!
All we are is words (or Word) If we could ony figure a Way to communicate with each other in some common language … like Love … Does Love really con-quer ALL ? (and what the hell is a “quer” ? I haven’t got a clue, but I know I’m against it!)
“War is the absolute, complete failure to communicate ”
LUV 2 ALL
