One of Liz’s most popular video blogs is the one in which she describes weight gain as a side effect. Since so many Beyond Blue readers have expressed this frustration, I thought I’d include it here.

For years I thought it was the barrels of egg nog that I drank that caused my metabolism to change. I could drink from a trough of eggnog and not gain a ounce so quick was my metabolism. Then everything changed in my 25th year. That was the year I was on Zoloft. I had to wait years before I found out the truth that Zoloft caused weight gain. Curse those pharma companies. It did more than help me gain a few pounds. It altered my metabolism. Before I realized what was happening to me I had put on 1000lbs. I’m serious. OK, well, maybe it felt like that much, but dang it was a lot. I still don’t fit in any of my pants.
