Because panic and anxiety are so much a part of recovery from depression or any mental illness, I added “panic and anxiety” as a topic to the discussion boards of Group Beyond Blue on Beliefnet’s Community site.

The reason panic and anxiety is part of depression is because people who are depressed have been avoiding their anxiety in the first place.
So when you give up the act of depressing your energy– you have to face and deal with your anxiety in healthy, natural ways.

… and yet even when you try to deal with it, it keeps bubbling up, as I can testify …
But BB readers should also know that there is a separate Anxiety and Panic group (besides the new Beyond Blue subgroup) on the Bnet social networking groups. Folks who don’t know about Beyond Blue, for some reason?

Hey T – They dated your post on Beyond Blue for January 10, 2008?!?!
I looked at the date and panicked. Had I slept that long!?! Me – who wakes up every 2 hours with insominia!?!

Therese, Are you getting a bit ahead of yourself;-)

Yes, anxiety is very contagious and seems to be a nonstop radio station. Good thing you have plenty of natural talents and innate skills to shift out of this irrational mental state into body emotional awareness.
