Thanks to Beyond Blue reader Susie for this prayer for 2008!
May peace break into your house and may thieves come to steal your debts.
May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $100 bills.
May love stick to your face like Vaseline and may laughter assault your lips!
May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and may happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy.
May the problems you had forget your home address! In simple words …………
May 2008 be the best year of your life!!!

May your ‘New Year’ be the best. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, and may all your hearts desires come true. May there be success in all that you do. Psalm 23:4 says, ” You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Genesis 28: 15, says, ” I will not leave you.”
May you live on His wonderful promises all through the year…

2008 will be one of the best ever – I’m convinced. Choose to make it so. Be well and be blessed. A great verse from Isaiah 26:3 -
“You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.”
Kind thoughts and warm regards…

I liked the “happiness slapping us across the face” … that’s sometimes what it takes for us, isn’t it?
Happy New Year, all!

Love ,”May peace break into your house and thieves steal your debts” line. That would make a good mantra right about now!

Thank you, Therese. I don’t know how, when or why I clicked that thing in cyberspace that brought your blog into my inbox. I usually use this address just for stuff that might get me spam. I haven’t even seen much mention of adult ADD, which my Dr. and I feel might be what led to my depression and anxiety. I’m 44, I’m a senior in a Bachelors Social Work program and I just realized I waited too long for an oil change and may now need a new motor. My life is still a mixed bag of achievements and forgotten responsibilities. Your humor, compassion and empathy have helped me a great deal and this poem is just another drop that helps to make me remember the bucket isn’t empty and there’s always more drops to come.
Thank you,
Jeff
