You may or may not remember last years "Winter Health Week." I do. Because I was sick when I was writing my posts. In fact, Winter Health Week 2007 made such an impression on me that I was ready for Winter Health Week 2008 before the 2007 ball dropped in Manhattan.
So, here's the line-up this week, for Beyond Blue's Winter Health Week!
Tuesday: It's the Most Crappiest Time of the Year (a survival guide)
Wednesday: Staying Healthy When You're Sick
Thursday: Alternative Health--What's Worked for Me and Not
Friday: An interview with Beliefnet's Health editor, who happens to be the infamous Holly Rossi!!
Hopefully these topics won't piss people off as much as I apparently did with my Heath Ledger posts.

Therese: It sounds perfect. And a lot less expensive then a Happy Light.
I wish I could buy you a round of the beverage of your choice. You have no idea how much I look forward to your thoughtful and well-written, wise, words! Thank you.
I agree with chatter; sounds like an interesting and edifying week (but than every week is, at least for me so far. It's particularly appropos for me personally, since my "winter cold" turnd into a complete "Upper Respritory Infection" that is proving resistant to any medications. Instead, the anribiotic is attacking the so-called "good bacteria that live in the intestines and setting of my IBS...joy..that's ALWAYS a fun time...not! One of the dangers of working with children however, is exposing oneself to whatever big is making the rounds, and several of my titorees(Is that a WORD?) have been showing up with tissue boxes for the last couple of weeks. the worst thing about this current infection is that it seems to hang on forever; everyone I know who's battled/is battling it has been/is looking at one stubborn infection! I feel almost like I'm suffering from OCD as many times as I've been washing my hands of late! the absoluteLAST thing I need is to develop yet another mental illness, but I know that hand-washing or the lack thereof is a big contributor (some say the BIGGEST one) to these things reaching epidemic proportions. I was a "good hirl and made sure to get my flu and pnemonia shots this year, so I seem to have evaded THAT particular bullet...knock on wood. In fact, the ONLY person I know who's been diagnosed with actual flu is my daughter-in-law-to be! the rest of us seem to be in the grips of a different kind of bacteria which mimics flu symptoms. as all of you undoubtedly know, physical illness magnifies or worsens depression (at least that's true in MY case), so the abyss is pulling at me yet once more! I'm trying t be strong and proactive, so I look forward to any tips Health Week's content has to offer.
Therese, a final note: Stop worrying about upsetting readers with your heath Ledger posts; it's not like you intentionally misinformed anyone! Even his so-called "friends" were quickto jump on the suicide bandwagon claiming that they "saw it coming" Those critical of your error need to stop and ask themselves how often THEY have been in error and stop throwing stones. You're one of the most careful and ethical "reporters" I'm aware of. Me thinks your "perfectionist's personna" is working a little overtime, you think?!
Therese,
Stop beating yourself up over Heath Ledger.
My favorite expression is "There is only one God, and I am not it". If you were perfect I wouldn't enjoy your blog as much as I do. Actually it would be kind of boring if you were perfect.
God Bless,
Nancy aka sixlittlekitties
