Group Beyond Blue: Count the Small (and Big) Victories Along the Way!

Thanks to Group Beyond Blue member Deep Within for starting the discussion thread on Group Beyond Blue called "YOU did that!" She's absolutely right in that we are quick to congratulate children on their small and big accomplishments throughout the day, but we overlook our own. She invites us to list our own victories and gives us a chance to pat ourselves on the back. She writes:

I started using the saying "you did that!" with my youngest when he was a toddler...meaning - wow! check it out! you caught the ball not me! I'm finding myself saying it a lot to my soon-to-be-two-year-old neice...they have to work so hard at that age to figure out me vs. you...

I got to thinking this morning...how great would that be...I finish the laundry or stay patient all day at work or some such, and at every turn someone saying - wow! you did that!

So...maybe here, we can think of little victories, and celebrate them together - because so often, it is hard for those that aren't in our skin to know that "little" tasks are hard won for many of us.
