Don’t send a Christmas card to anyone you wouldn’t want to have over for dinner.

Therapy Thursday: Sweat
I have decided to dedicate a post on Thursday to therapy, and offer you the many tips I have learned on the couch. They will be a good reminder for me, as well, of something small I can concentrate on. Many of them are published in my book, "The Pocket Therapist: An Emotional Survival Kit." Work

Scrupulosity: What It Is and Why It's Dangerous
If you sprinkle a hefty dose of Catholic (or Jewish) guilt unto a fragile biochemistry headed toward a severe mood disorder, you usually arrive at some kind of a religious nut. Not that there’s anything wrong with that! For I am one. I have said many places that growing up Catholic, for me, was

The Treasures of Darkness
We often equate darkness with sorrow, misery, get-me-the-hell-out-of-here reaction. At least I do. That’s why I keep a mammoth Happy Lite on my smallish cubicle at work. But darkness can also be a treasure. Say what? J. R. Miller writes this in “From Streams in the Desert” by L. B. C

On Groundhog Day: 12 Winter Depression Busters
Last year on this day, I got fired. That was a real pleasant Groundhog Day. I was so confused by what had happened that I drove around the D.C. beltway twice. I missed my exit, and realized that halfway around the second time. I just thought on this day, you could probably use some winter depres

6 Ways to Stay Resilient in Stress
Writer Jennifer Yane once said, “I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days will attack me at once.” Admittedly, I spend too many days myself running from “the attacks of the calendars.” I am thinking that if I didn’t have so much stress in my life, I MIGHT be able to grab

Good rule!
(Except if I followed it to the letter, I wouldn’t be sending Christmas cards to most of my family …)

I thank God, for the internet (and not Al Gore !) All my Christmas cards are delivered through cyberspace, and lighyears faster and cheaper than the US Postal guys. And there is no way I could afford to do it any other Way! And dinner? well all I got to eat is words (or Word!) and usually my own!

Re; Wisdum, I thought …The only thing you get to take with you are your works! About the words…I believe Sting wrote a pretty good song on the subject ” DO DO DO, DA DA DA DA That’s all I want to say to you.” “Poets, Priests, and Politicians have words to thank for their positions.” I could’nt have said it better myself, and you’re right about the too expensive to send christmas cards.

Hi Lynne, wuzzup?
Re; Wisdum, I thought …The only thing you get to take with you are your works!
** (got news for you…you ain’t taking nothing with you, except perhaps a sense of accomplishment … or failure!) The words (or Word” is liekened to “Let ther be Light, and there was Light” … especially on the http://WWW.internet! Sometimes it’s hard to rise up to be a pixel, yet alone a Pixie!
About the words…I believe Sting wrote a pretty good song on the subject ” DO DO DO, DA DA DA DA That’s all I want to say to you.”
** Ahhhh ! words like “DO DO DO, DA DA DA DA” give us all inspiration to become great songwriters!
“Poets, Priests, and Politicians have words to thank for their positions.”
** Whew ! … For a second there, I thought your were gonna get into sexual stuff again!
and you’re right about the too expensive to send christmas cards.
Don’t know if you visited my Wisdum Community page, but I just sent out my Christmas Advent card “Tis The Reason for The Season” you ALL free to use it, if you are so moved. “The Face of Christ” is an art piece by Joe Cantillo (if you look close, you will see the Life of Christ within the portrait, I found it on the net)

I think I missed the point of original post: I took it to mean: don’t pretend to wish good cheer to someone with whom you wouldn’t want to have a beer.
No?

Hi Barbara, howz dooin !
Wisdum, what is the url for the site you are talking about? Thanks for this info.
Oh my God! Thanks for asking! I just tried to find it and the “Power of Resistance” come on full force. But “All things are turned to the good, for those that Love God” … first, I spelled his name wrong it is Joe Castillo and I found this youtube of him drawing the picture. A lot of Christian Rock groups have him do paintings while they play in concerts http://youtube.com/watch?v=lRjDQhNmzK0
Wow! … I just found his website too! http://joecastillo.com/ … and you can download the picture straight from him !
I don’t know if you were referring to the Beliefnet Community page of mine (under Wisdum), you get there by just clicing on Community in the Beliefnet tool bar. Therese just did a blog on that, you ALL are welcome to join us there also!
