In addition to what Valerie has written, I believe that Heavenly Father has provided a way for me/us to return to live with Him someday in happiness, joy and eternal love. To do this will require a committment to obeying his laws and commandments, and a willingness to submit to becoming more like Him each day through prayer and meditation.

I presently struggle with chronic pain and depression and personally know of the support and encouragement that is sent to me. I know the knowlege I learn her will stay with me forever. I also believe that I must love myself and care for myself as I would for others.

Thanks so much for starting this topic.

I believe in the Triune God, Father, Son, Holy Spirit.

God sent His Son to take the punishment for our sins. We are forgiven children of God, and are guaranteed Heaven.

It's all Grace.

I strive every day to live a God pleasing life. As Martin Luther says, we are Saint and Sinner at the same time. So...not everything I do or say is pleasing to the Lord. However, it is forgiven.

I know that through the power of the Holy Spirit, at our Baptism, we are all Gifted with one or more Spiritual Gifts. It is joyful to use these Gifts.

I could go on....I am so Thankful to the Lord that I was born and raised in a Christian home. Our girls were raised the same. I believe that telling our children about Jesus, is just about the most important task we are given.

I am a Christ follower. No more need be said about that. I hope it speaks for itself. That said, I also believe that how you do is much more important than what you do and that the quality of your life is more important than the quantity of your life. I believe in compassion, empathy and grace. I also believe those are hard qualities to live up to which is why we need compassion, empathy and grace.
I believe in growing up not growing old. The wisest people I know are in their 50's. I believe each person is endowed with some intrinsic value and that with some people, they need to be shown their own value by someone before they can shine before others.I believe I would rather die merciful than live merciless. I believe that living up to my beliefs is difficult. I believe in miracles and I believe that life is infinite and we are a part of that granduer and mystical quality that makes life worth living.

I believe that all we have is each other, and our purpose in this life is to work together for the good of all. Rmember to be grateful for what we do have. The AA Serentiy prayer, and the essay "Desiderata" sum everything up nicely.

As I often say it...

The day Jesus hung on that cross, With blood and sweat and pain wracking His body. When he felt the loneliness of despair. When he felt as if even his Father had left him. When he listened to the crowds hooting and hollering and felt the sting of disillusionment.

He paused for a moment. He lifted his head from its downward position and looked out across the crowd and the land and the eternity of time and stared directly into my eyes. He told me, that very day and every day since and even at this very moment.

"Frank, I am doing this for you. I forgive you. You don't have any idea what you are doing or what it means but I do and I love you"

He smiled, cried out and gave up the ghost.

That my friends, is "personal salvation" at its best.

That's what I believe happened. Exactly!

God's blessings
Frank
