I am a bit surprised by the response on my post, "Do You Believe In Angels?" at the Huffington Post. I went back and forth on whether or not to post such a religious topic on a secular site,...
I can't say I believe in angels but I have some wild and weird experiences that can only fall under the angelic category. When I was hitchhiking in Europe in the 1980's we were dropped off in the middle of the industrial section of Milan at midnight. We walked to a far off gas station and an elfin woman took us to the Milan train station with two bus changes without a word and vanished when we got to the right stop. Our mothers had been praying daily that their two free wheeling daughters would be protected and we were. There were several other incidents during those six weeks. Unfornately there have been times when I wanted an angel for a friend, my termianl sister or myself and there was nothing, absolutely nothing. And then after a too long time something happens - I find my car in a thousand car parking lot in seconds, my husband doesn't lose his job- good happens.
I enjoy reading Rilke's Duino Elegies sometimes they make me believe.

My heart hurt very much reading about different belief/deals that people have and realize that not everyone has the same ideas on various subjects. I guess it hurts the heart to know that people just want children to grow up with no imamgination and only be trained on real, science proof world. Problems with that (1) not everything can be explained (2) Theories are not fact and in the science world that is sometimes forgotten. (3)Theories and sometimes proved facts can be changed due to the improvements of technology. Why not incorporate everything when teaching a child? Muslims, Christians, Hindu, Buddist all believe in angels and are found in their texts. Pagans believe in elementals and angels do fall into that catagory. Whether you can see, feel, touch, taste, smell something doesn't mean it isn't real eg. an atom. Why debate or argue about something that is very near and dear to my heart? I can agree to disagree but walking in the path of a fool isn't very pretty. Most ignorance is heard when one opens their mouth. There are many stories, beliefs and people who believe in angels (not to be confused with angels being gods) and those who do not want to experience angels. The lose is for those who don't believe and never will believe that they exist. I am not missing out on something this special. Anyone else with me on this one?!?

Wow Theresa..you certainly stirred up a hornets nest over at the
Huffington Post where no angel would dare to go!
Seriously one either has faith or not...what bothers me is the anger of the non-believer when someone assents to believe..it's taken as
a personal offense. Can't they just live and let live? What about
the common ground this administration if always promoting? Quess it
just shows there isn't any common ground among people of ill-wll and
intolerance is everywhere among us. We know how to lift off for the moon and arrive safely but we know nothing about love, the only real
force that will bring peace to us all.

If we believe what the bible tells us we have to believe and know that there are angels, but more important we have to understand the works of the spirit, If our GOD is the same as he has always been and he sent angels to deliver different messages to his people then we must believe his angels are watching over us also. We as children of the most high GOD must stand fast in our belief. The word tell us that each generation will get weaker and wiser. this is why we walk by faith not by sight, if you do not believe in something, of course you can think of a good argument against it, but that still does not make them right, but all we can really do is tell them, no need to let it trouble you( let not your heart be troubled)

It's a shame that so many people take such a clinical view of the Universe. Science has its place, but even scientists are delving into the realm of spirituality. There are more things going on than we could ever imagine, and much of it is in the spiritual realm.
Personally I don't believe in organized religion as it tends to put God in a box and has done so much harm in God's name. I do believe that we are spiritual beings living in a physical body, and that angels indeed exist to guide, guard and protect us. I have had too many "close calls," that would have meant my death not to believe.
As for the age old question of why some people are victims of horrific crimes, or die before we think it's their time, there is not enough room in this space to go into that.
The school of though I believe in tells me that we made certain agreements about the soul experiences we needed to have before we were born, and the way we meet those agreements each day is a matter of choices we make.
There is much information on this topic as well as the subject of angels, so I suggest that before anyone closes their mind to the wonderful possibilities for help and guidance from the spiritual realm, he or she research these topics with an open mind.
I most certainly believe in the existence of angels and archangels, and their ability to answer a call for help or guidance.

I believe that when we love someone be your close relative or friend
or the opposite sex,we serve as their guardian angel as long as we live or as long as they live.We do all the possible ways even the most hardest and do sacrifices to serve their needs, that the things that make them happy is always our joy.Though in the bible ,the reality of angels were mentioned, those were the highest forms in the heavenly realms with God and they were His servants to take charge of His people here on earth and were living here on earth with us through
those people who love us.In conclusion,we can create an angel within us when we love others even more than ourselves, and angels are everywhere,be here on earth and in the heavenly places serving God,they were like the armies of God.
