Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him.  Psalm 37: 7a

We folks who are goal-oriented have trouble with this verse!  We want to be doing something and we want results NOW.  We’re the ones who will do killer work-out routines and starve ourselves, then give up when our results level off.  If we are eating to live and living for Christ — as my signature line says — then we need to do just what this psalm says.  Do what is right and let it rest.  As long as we are doing all we know to do and aren’t sabotaging ourselves with some unhealthy habits, the weight WILL come off. If you consistently take in less calories than you burn off, it has to happen — especially if they are calories from low glycemic foods.

What’s the hurry anyway? You have all the rest of your life to be healthy and to enjoy the results of your healthy habits.  Relax and enjoy it!
