The John Wesley Fellows Meeting at Candler---- The Senior Fellows
The John Wesley Fellowship began in 1977, with Steve Harper and yours truly being two of the first John Wesley Fellows chosen.  I have told the story of Ed Robb and AFTE  this past Fall on the blog so I will not repeat it.   Here are some of the senior fellows attending the meeting.

That man should not be behind a pulpit. If he had slipped once I could understand that, but to keep on saying it shows me that he is not paying attention to his words. He is careless in his words and his theology. His misuse of James 1:14 is shocking at best. I would advise the folks in his church to either find a new pastor or a new church.Martin

WOW! I am really surprised that you don’t hear a few chuckles or coughs from the audience. Apparently they were just as asleep as the speaker when this sermon was given!

While I agree that the gentleman (and his hearers) could certainly benefit from sharpened thinking and homiletical tools, this post and thread doesn’t feel very Christian to me; it’s humor at his expense. What the brother needs is not ridicule but kind and redemptive correction from those assuming the posture of the learned.By the way, this is my first time posting but I do enjoy reading your blog Ben.Michael
