Keith Olbermann must have one HECK of an agent.
Despite being pretty much a one-trick pony, playing the not-too-rare angry liberal, Olbermann has been on more TV channels than Oprah Winfrey.
In fact, OWN, Oprah Winfrey’s flagging network, might be one of the few places left for the ex-ESPN Sportscenter star to land after his firing from the Current channel.
In case you don’t know, and you wouldn’t be alone, Current is the channel owned by bloviating ex-VP Al Gore … he of the false global warming warnings while flying around in a jet.
Either he can work for Oprah, or perhaps co-host Dan Rather’s news program on Mark Cuban’s HDNet. Imagine those two HUGE egos on one program!
OK, I’m usually not this mean, but Olbermann was just that way to President Bush, aned much worse in fact on the channel that NBC either better manage or cut loose: MSNBC.
Sean Hannity is funny, but tough, on NBC anchor Brian Williams when he asks “Are you proud of your network?”.
Getting back to Olbermann, who could be proud of his hire, or re-hire, should be resurface again?

thanks for checking out the post and you are entitled to like him, for sure … hundreds of others do. too. Ouch! just thought of that now. You were fair in mentioning that current should have known what it was getting into with his history as a me-first guy…like so many liberals I am afraid…do as I say, not as I do.

Ahhhhh Yes: We must contrast those nasty angry egotistic Liberal commentators (like Keith Olbermann) with…..the quiet ,humble, self-effacing, ego-less, almost Budda-like qualities of Conservative commentators…..who, no doubt, bicycle to work, so that they might not offend THEIR limo drivers. Chill out Right Wingers, and just take two more Viagras. But do me a favor- and DON’T call me in the morning
. The real question we should be asking is : Did CurrentTV simply USE Keith to gain attention and higher ratings? They KNEW what they were getting! Did they lure him with big bucks, and then drop him when they were done? Yes, we all know that Keith injects emotion and passion into his commentary, into his intelligent and incisive reporting, and into his humor….all of which makes his program interesting, as well as informative. He’s forceful, honest, and direct: you FEEL his pain, you FEEL his anger, and you FEEL his heart-felt sincerity when he covers a story. And he covers it well. He’s NEVER just another talking head! If Keith is absent from CurrentTV, then I too will be absent from CurrentTV. For Keith is one of the best – hands down- as evidenced by his outstanding coverage of OWS during the past year. I wish him well, and hope that he is back on the air soon. We need his unique voice and viewpoint!
