Pomomusings says, “In addition to simply being a time of book promotions and craziness and zany antics (all of which will keep you laughing), there are moments of beautiful poetry, autobiographical reflections and being challenged theologically. Doug shares about pursuing a Christianity that makes sense with your own lived experience, a Christianity that doesn’t make you check your heart or experience at the door. Tony shares about Christianity’s naive embrace of Platonic philosophy as gospel, and reflects on absolute truth and Jesus as living truth. And Mark shares some powerful stories about the gritty compassion of Jesus and how he’s experienced beauty in unexpected places.” READ MORE…
YSMarko says, “the guys have done an admirable job of creating the most creative book tour i’ve ever seen, that’s for sure. each have created a fictional personality from the year 1908, which, as the premise goes, are the great-great-grandfathers of tony, doug and mark. each character has some things to say, as do mark, tony and doug in current-day-mode. the whole thing is timed and staged, with support visuals on a screen. really, for three guys on a shoe-string budget, traveling in an rv with a trailer full of gear, they put on quite a show.” READ MORE…
Mending Shift says, “See, the Roadshow has the guise of a book tour. But don’t let that fool you. It is only a cover. The true essence of it is three guys who are deeply passionate about Jesus. Who will stop at nothing to proclaim his message of hope and restoration. Who love hanging out with other people who are seeking to follow the person and way of Jesus. Whose hearts beat with an inner God-cadence and have reconciled their fear at the feet of God, saying, “We’ll speak what we hear, regardless.” It was laughter and silence and joy and profoundness and embarrassment and gut-level sharing and music (kinda) and wisdom and friendship all rolled up into two memorable hours.” READ MORE…

Hottest Shows
Some of the Roadshows were HOT, and by that I don't mean "cool." I mean they were hot, like sweaty, humid, disgustingly hot. Of course, there were lots of comments about how the heat made it feel like a real, old-timey revival, and lots of jokes about us wearing three-piece wool frock suits. The
