As I mentioned yesterday, the Simon Weisenthal Center in Los Angeles intends to screen the film The Third Jihad at the Museum of Tolerance. In the interest of free speech, I am embedding the trailer and also a 30-minute short version of the film. Watch it and draw your own conclusions.
Trailer
30-minute version
The film is the sequel to Obsession (whose trailer I have also hosted at this blog). The response site Obsession With Hate has factual rebuttals to the assertions in Obsession and sheds light on the mysterious Clarion Fund, the producers and funders of these videos. Also, Sheila Musaji at The American Muslim has also done an extensive point-by-point analysis of Obsession. These rebuttals also apply to The Third Jihad, which makes use of much the same historical distortions and blanket stereotypes about Islam and muslim beliefs.
I do have a copy of the entire film and have watched it, but not yet had time to formulate a detailed rebuttal or analysis yet. It is an ongoing project of mine.

When will people realize that religion itself is the problem? Just look at history. Isn't it obvious that man has invented his gods and religions and then pretends that he did not? Wake up!
It is very obvious that this is a one-sided story, even with clips from the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Jihad doesn't even mean 'Holy War'. I am Islamic, and I am very tolerant towards the USA and Christians. The media makes it look as though us-from the Middle East support the terrorists who use our religion to hide behind. When you think Islam, you think of this, with terrorism and religious dominance, when you think Muslim, you think of Osama Bin Laden, but when you think of Christianity, you dont think of Hitler, or the missionaries...
When Islam spreads the word of Mohammed, you call them extremists, but you dont think anything wrong of Christians spreading the word of Jesus!
Dennis, please tell us about the christian suicide bombers, and the ones who invade territories and force people to dress a certain way, and beat women who are in public alone.
"When you think Islam, you think of this, with terrorism and religious dominance, when you think Muslim, you think of Osama Bin Laden"
Correct. Now it's YOUR responsibility as a muslim to keep other muslims in line, else you will suffer in their downfall just as innocent japanese suffered when their cities were destroyed (rightfully so).
In the interest of fairness, how about the Christians who assainate doctors? There are plenty of Christians who would impose dress codes and other rules if they could. Luckily we still have secular democracies that keep such foolishness in check, whether it be Christian or Muslim foolishness.
