Bible Q&A for August 28

Is it wrong for a born-again, spirit filled Christian to be cremated?

While it is probably not unethical for a Christian to be cremated, some Christians have strong reservations about it because it involves a living person choosing to have their own body immolated or destroyed, rather than simply allowed to decay in the earth. To some, this suggests a denial of God's right to determine the end of our life and our life processes. Still others object because of the Christian belief in the resurrection of the body or in the body, which is promised in scripture (see 1 Corinthians 15).

Some believe that we still feel after death. People have been brought back later to reveal that they still have their smelling intact.
I would not want to be creamated when science may find a way to bring someone back.

Jesus said, "Let the dead bury the dead."
Sounds to me he wasn't to much worried about what happens to those who are dead. I guess maybe he was hoping that those following the path to death would seek to find life instead. Then you wouldn't have to worry about what happens when your not around.

The bible says, "the dead are conscious of nothing at all."
, "........God of the living."

As for me, I look to engage myself with the secret to eternal life.

,David
