Category: The Spirit of Weight LossThe Wisdom of Words
Today’s exercise can help train you to eat less-- with God’s help.
Jot as many single words that describe how you felt the last time you ate too much. Do this quickly, just getting as many adjectives and nouns written as quickly as possible. Don’t overthink it, don’t edit, just free associate into your keyboard. Once you have released as many words as you can, print the journal entry and use it to remind you next time you are about to overeat, along with a prayer to God for help. Refer to it whenever you feel the urge to start overeating. Send it to yourself or a friend.

Great idea! Coincidentally, it fits right in with my plan for Lent: not to nosh while I'm reading. Your method of sending the words to oneself or a friend is a good idea too, since many of us forget things quickly. :)
