"Your child is a being of light and love who wants to share that abundant spirit. What is getting in your child's way of expressing who he or she truly is?"

My grandson, who is now 18, has Aspergers Syndrome, my daughter had just found about it a couple of years ago. We figured it was the health problems, with his mother having cancer, (now cancer free, thank God) and with his father who was an alcoholic, then found out he had a tumor in his brain, and, now has passed on! He quit school when he was 16/17 and did not want to hang around his friends, or anything to do with school. He has distant himself from everyone, and, seems to care about nothing. He was on some medicine, but went off it, because, he said it did not work. The doctor told him he had to keep taking it awhile before he notice any changes. He stays in his room and draws or reads and listens to his music. He sleeps all day, and is awake at nights, he's like in his own little world, and don't want to talk with no one. My daughter says, she tries to talk with him, but, just walks away.
He finally had told his mom he wants to take the medicine, because, he don't want to feel the way he does. Like autism

He was such a happy child, later on, he showed signs that something was different, but, nothing that we thought would be anything like autism of some kind.I think he misses his dad terriably!
I'm going to take a trip up north to visit him and the rest of the family, I'll be coming back in a month.
Sooo... this is whats getting in my grand child’s way of expressing who he or she truly is!" Like autism, he's very smart.
Thanks for your articles, and will be back to hear from you or anyone who has experienced with this Aspergers Syndrome!

P.s.... when my grandson was eleven years old, I had sent you two of his prayers he wrote! ;-)
