Conversations with God

The Biggest Secret of Life

I’ve come here today to tell you the Secret of Life. It is really a Big Secret, because very few people know it. Are you ready to hear it? Here it is:
You’re a triangle.
That’s right. You heard me. I said, You’re a triangle.
You’re made up of three parts, three distinctive Aspects of the Self. Now these are called by many names, but a rose by any other name is still a rose. And no matter what names you give to the parts of your Self, you are still the Self.
Now maybe you already understand this about your Self. Maybe you know that you come in three parts, that you’re made up of three elements. But even if you did, changes are you haven’t often thought of your Self in that way as a practical matter.
If this is true, then you’ve been living your life impractically. In other words, in a way that doesn’t work.
Most of us have. Most of us have been doing this. And that’s why life on our entire planet is not working.
Now I have another secret for you. Not only are YOU a triangle…

… EVERYTHING is.
We live in a triangle!
The Roman Catholic Church has taught for hundreds of years of the Holy Trinity. This is the Holy Trinity. This is God the Father, God the son, and God the Holy Ghost.
We live in a triangle!
Father, Son, Holy Ghost.
Body, Mind, Spirit.
Thought, Word, and Deed.
Past, Present, and Future.
Here, There, and Everywhere.
Energy, Matter, Anti-Matter.
Knowing, Experiencing, Being.
Everything comes in three’s. Everything IS a Three. And everything is All One.
All That IS is Three-In-One. There IS a Holy Trinity, and this is it.
Conversations with God tells us that God the Father is our Thought, God the Son is our word (“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…”), and God the Holy Ghost is our deed. It is the Spirit which animates our actions and gives life to our thoughts and our words.
The Spirit is Pure Energy. It is the Essence of Life. Without it, Life is Not. When the Spirit leaves the Body, the Body dies. It is not the same way with the Mind. The Mind can leave the Body—you can be literally out of our Mind—and the Body will live on. But when the Body is not connected to Spirit, the Body dies. That is, it changes it form. It cannot hold its form without the Spirit to bind it, to animate it, to energize it.
Form is created by Energy vibrating at a certain rate and frequency to produce Matter. It is the rate and frequency of Energy vibrating that produces conglomerations or clumpings of Energy that you call Matter. In metaphysical terms, this is the turning of the Spiritual into the Physical. When the physical is turned spiritual, that is called Transformation. But it is when physicality and spirituality are expressed simultaneously that you are at last being Who You Are.
This is the purpose and function of all life. Not just life on earth, but life in heaven as well. Life is everlasting. It is the eternal process of Knowing, Experiencing, and Being. This is what religion calls Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
We are these three things. We are Body, Mind, and Spirit. We are a triangle. Yet we have to live the triangle to Be it, and most people are not doing that.
The road to enlightenment is the road from Belief to Knowing, from Knowing to Experience, from Experience to Being. This is what has been called The Path.
Nobody believes anything if they don’t experience it—and nobody can experience anything if they don’t believe it. For example, you cannot experience God in your life if you do not believe in God.
You cannot Be something you do not Experience, you cannot Experience something you do not Know, and you cannot Know something you do not Believe.
Belief comes first, in everything. Every Master has always known this. That is why every Master has said, each in his or her own way, “As you believe, so will it be done unto you.”
This is a basic principle of life. Yet in most people’s lives there is no practicing of the principles.
Everybody is in the same place – in their head about it. Nobody is living in it.
Evolution takes discipline. Enlightenment takes commitment. We say we understand oneness and enlightenment, but we can’t even discipline our bodies to do what we want them to do. We can’t even discipline our minds to do what we want them to do. We can’t even commit to our spirit, to do what we know It wants us to do. The spirit IS willing…but the flesh is weak.
The soul is way out in front on this. We have to play a game of “catch up.” We have to allow our body and our mind to catch up with our soul. We have to want them to. We have to ask them to. We have to commit to the soul that we will bring our body and our mind along to where the soul is.
You can know enlightenment, but it is nothing if you have not experienced it. It will be just a concept, just a thought.
You can experience enlightenment, but it is nothing if you do not know what you are experiencing. It will be just something that is happening, but you won’t know what the hell is happening. You’ll think you are having hallucinations or delusions.
You must put knowing and experiencing together to produce enlightenment.
What is “enlightenment”?
Enlightenment is
knowing
Who You Really Are
and
experiencing that.
We are fragmented as human beings, separated from our Selves. All our parts are disjointed. Body, Mind, and Spirit are not being experienced as One.
Now ask yourself this: If we are fragmented as human beings, how can we not be fragmented as human society?
The solution to the problem is simple. We must join ourselves together. What God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.
Unity, oneness, is the answer. Yet how can we experience oneness EX-ternally if we are not experiencing it IN-ternally?
And so, the search goes on for ways in which we may do that. Yet now the search can end. Conversations with God has given us an answer. It is not the only answer. It is not a better way. But it is one way. The path of the New Spirituality can take us where we choose to go — both individually and as a collective called Humanity. I hope you will choose to help make that vision come true.

In maintaining a steadfast desire for all words deeds and resultant actions to be life affirming, without exception; then the remaining reflections would perpetuate only that shown to be; life sustaining.
Use Life to create Life to sustain Life.
A fairly simple concept that is also possible in context; but not necessarily probable given our current variety of world views.
Who would be willing to release every belief now held to have the net result become the highest benefit for all of humanity?
Another way to say this is: Who will change if you don’t?

Can you see the relationship between “ask, and ye shall receive?” The Holy Trinity explains this – but, the soul/spirit belies it. This leads to the “Law of Attraction.” Whatever we believe/ask for in the physical, we achieve in the spiritual. God answers prayer, but we MUST believe. Spirit GIVES us this. Water is also Three-IN-One – frozen, liquid, mist. ALL of life can be summed up what the author tells us.
If even one of the materials in life were removed – Mind, Body, Spirit – we could not live. We live fully ONLY when we accept and listen to Spirit. Our soul DOES live on after leaving our body – this is tantamount to the teachings of Christ.
Thanks for the reminder of our wholeness.

Thank you for BEING the light of the earth. You laid a profound foundation on the human plane. How many of us are willing to shine this light? My awerness has grown since the first CWG experiance, Two weeks ago i decided to developed a self-improvement course called ”A new earth” by Eckhart Tolle which is begining to awaken my life purpose, despite the insecurities and uncertainty of my day to day life, If there is nothing to win. How can we loose? The answer is both profound and simple. When you are aware of space, you are not really aware of anything, except awereness itself- the inner space of consciouness. Through you, the universe is becoming awere of itself!

Couldna said it better. Body, Mind, Spirit – balance. As a healer (reiki) I am often questioned “is it from God?” As humans our triangles are not perfect, they are out of balance – the lines, the angles, the space – we live in constant flux and therein is the joy of each new day – to give thanks for the opportunity! Re -The Biggest Secret of Life
** “The best Way to hide something, is right in front of your face “
You’re a triangle.
** Nope ! … God is a Triangle
“a rose by any other name is still a rose.”
** Ahhh, Shakespeare ! We would be Way further down this Road Called Love, if we paid more attention to Shakespeare, than Roman Theology !
our entire planet is not working.
** Uhhhh ! . . . bet God !
The Roman Catholic Church has taught for hundreds of years of the Holy Trinity. This is the Holy Trinity. This is God the Father, God the son, and God the Holy Ghost.
** Yep ! And that’s where it all got corrupt…when they stole Christianity/The Triangle from the Ju(dah)’s and incorporated their mythology (along with the Greek) into Christianity/Monotheism
Father, Son, Holy Ghost.
** Here’s what you left out (“Come to Me like a child!”)
Creator/Flesh/Spirit
Energy/Incarnate/Soul
Everything comes in three’s.
** God’s favorite number !
There IS a Holy Trinity
** The Ju’s do not see it as a Trinity, that is Way too restrictive and limiting for the perception of God. They see God as a Diamond (and diamonds are forever) a multi-faceted Diamond, and as you rotate it, and look at it from different perspectives, you see a new facet of God, infinitely new facet !
It is the Spirit which animates our actions and gives life to our thoughts and our words.
** Don’t forget to mention also the “Flesh”
The Spirit is Pure Energy. It is the Essence of Life. Without it, Life is Not.
** Right on ! ( I think you are beginning to think more like a child!, great !)
But when the Body is not connected to Spirit, the Body dies.
** That is what is known as “Out of body” experience. Very often, the Soul/Spirit returns, to start anew. (Check out the book “Life After Life”)
Form is created by Energy vibrating at a certain rate and frequency to produce Matter.
“Matter can neither be created or destroyed, only change its form” (Wisdum)
When the physical is turned spiritual, that is called Transformation.
** Uhhhh … The Romans called it Transfiguration
Life is everlasting.
** “There is no death, only a change of address” (Wisdum)
This is what religion calls Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
** This is what God calls “I AM in you, and you are in Me, Without Me you can do nothing !”
Yet we have to live the triangle to Be it, and most people are not doing that.
** There is no choice, Life is Life. Can you accept Life on Life’s terms ?
Nobody believes anything if they don’t experience it
** Kinda like the game God is playing with ALL of us !
Evolution takes discipline.
** Evolution takes survival
Enlightenment takes commitment.
** Enlightenment requires Light
The spirit IS willing…but the flesh is weak.
** Ain’t it the Truth ! . . .”I can do all things, in God who strengthens me !”
You’ll think you are having hallucinations or delusions.
** Or, Conversations With God !
We are fragmented as human beings, separated from our Selves.
** We are fragmented as human beings, still part of God . . .”We are many parts, we are still, One body” . . .(One Pie, many slices)
What God hath joined together, let no man put asunder.
** How about if God puts it ass-under ?
Conversations with God has given us an answer.
** Absolutely ! We ALL need to have Conversations With God ! And that is the only place, you will get the Truth, the Light and the Way ! “There is someone, walking beside you, turn around look at Me. There is someone longing to Love you, turn around look at Me” (Just awarning- BEWARE! There are many spirits out there, that we ALL have to wrestle with)

as a woman in loooove with her Divine Feminine, I can’t help but add Maiden / Mother / Crone to your list of Trinitys!!!
I agree with Wisdum about limiting God to just 3 aspects…to limiting God at all. It amuses me how we are always seeking to fit God into a neat little package of words and descriptions….when it’s obvious that our teeny little brains are waaaaaaaay to limited in their understanding to ever be able to form a “description” of God that would come any where close to the Truth of God. Reminds me of a joke I heard once about 3 blind guys who come upon an elephant, and each one of them is trying to describe what an elephant is to the others by feeling different parts of the elephant. One is feeling the trunk, one the legs, and the other the side. Can’t remember exactly how it goes, but the point is that each believes that what they are describing is the truth about elephants….based on their experience of “elephant”. Truth is, they are each right (and wrong), but anyone with sight can see that an elephant is soooo much bigger than any of their descriptions! That’s how I feel whenever I hear people try to describe God.
BUT, I do think that everyone’s individual and group experiences of God contribute to our overall understanding and experience of Her…so I think we should just keep on feeling and describing until we can paint a more accurate picture. Or perhaps it is not for us to know completely until we re-member with The All upon our “death”. Maybe if we were to know it all now, it might just blow our circuit board! LOL!

I just can’t seem to keep myself away from this place. I want to second on that divine femininity, AngelGoddess, and I love the elephant story. It is soooo appropriate. All of our various definitions of God depend on which body part we happen to be holding at the moment; sometimes it is the head in our little hands; sometimes it is the eye; and, unfortunately, sometimes it is the tail. In the latter case, all we can do is hold our nose and smile.
Thank you Bruce for these words, which resonate with my soul, “Use life to create life to sustain life.”

Dear Neale and all those who read my comment from 16 Oct 07
I agree 101% with you when you say “evolution takes discipline. Enlightenment takes commitment.” We have a saying that goes like “Each one knows about him/herself and God knows about everybody…” that is my position on adultery. There are countries though were it is a more serious crime than killing, supposedly based on religion. I base myself on religion to say it’s not like that. I think I have shown enough evidence that the God of the Bible is not that strict or cruel. He just has His plan and His reasons. God is God, always was, always will be. When I mentioned the passage in Mt 19, I wasn’t talking exactly about an abstraction. Because of AIDS, in some countries in Africa the life expectancy is 37 years old, and it’s growing worse because now there’s a mith running that if you have AIDS and have sex with a virgin, the younger the better, you’ll be cured, so girls as young as 9 months old are being infected and not getting any treatment. (You can check what I’m saying at this site http://www.aegis.com/news/upi/2001/UP011106.html). Guess what the result is going to be, if things keep on going like this?
I remember from CWG how WWII wasn’t only about what Hitler had done, but also about how the world had (not) reacted, until Germany was knocking on their door. For those who believe we are ONE, Africa and the rest of the world, is an arm’s length away. I have to confess my best idea to fight AIDS is by supporting educational programs. The ideal would be a program like there is in Bangladesh with micro-credit, where the men have access to it only through their wives, precisely to force the men to share in the economy with them. You’re right when you say belief comes first, but I might add that experience can give a mighty good hand, changing one’s beliefs.
Love, love, love

Wow that is heavy. I can tell I should have kept reading with CWG, which I have on a shelf 3 feet away from me (I am good at buying books and not reading them, so at least I read part of yours. LOL. : )) But I’m reading your blog, you can tell, right?
Oddly enough, I experienced much of what you talk about during my one and only fully manic episode, which was 8 years ago, and only a year or two after taking courses at http://landmarkeducation.com . They say good stress is still stress. My confidence was raised so high, I immediately hooked up with a lady friend and got married to her, 2 weeks after taking the Advanced Course. (Of course she had taken Landmark courses as well and we were on a similar wavelength at the time. I’m in a period of doubt right now whether I made a good decision to hook up with her as a matter of fact, after being together 10 years. But maybe the relationship will improve.)
Back to the stress – she has never worked in the ten years I’ve known her. So my rent doubled, I was paying for two rings, a honeymoon on Maui, as well as the entire fancy wedding reception (which lasted 11 hours, had a live band, tons of food, and a lot of guests, per her culture – she is an immigrant. The groom pays per her culture.) That and business stress from self employment – I snapped with the good stress and financial stress I guess.
But, one person’s trash may be another person’s treasure. I felt on the same level as Jesus, as I had no other way to explain the mania, since I had been diagnosed with some depression a few years before, and took Prozac for one year, but I didn’t know anything about bipolar disorder. I thought I had reached enlightenment and/or heaven on earth. My wife thought I should go to a psychiatrist, but I talked her out of it (until the week ended and I crashed into severe depression so bad I could not drive myself to the psychiatrist.)
I was emailing folks on a listserv at the time. They eventually recognized that I must have gone bonkers. But I did rant about the trinity, and with the humor that was taking place I referenced the Star Trek logo which is a triangle. But I was also thinking about “cutting out the middle man” and just going with father and holy spirit – which the crucifixion could be an analogy of. That we all are prophets and can all go direct to God with no middle man. That that is probably what Jesus was after – I am not so sure he wants us to worship him, I think he would like us to worship God.
And the number 3 either did or seemed to come up a lot. It might have been hallucinations. The phone would ring 3 times (at least I thought it did – seemed real enough to me.) The time stamps on my emails going out (at least I thought they did) were all divisible by 3 if not containing 3 in them. Weird stuff like that.
And I may have prophecied 9/11. As the flight paths the two planes took form a triangle. And there were 3 planes. Middle man referenced the space in between the twin towers. As well as my wanting to write a play entitled “the devil is a friend of God.” (reference to osama.)
So I wonder if the truth is like that – if it is layered. I was also talking about God being all alone sitting in a chair in a hall of mirrors. When you are fully manic, you feel connected to God, and to God’s God, and God’s God’s God, as a grand puppet scheme, where you can both get tugged by God on the strings but also reach upward on the same strings.
Very bizarre stuff that I usually write off as others would do, psychiatrists included, as mere insanity. Don’t ask about the auditory hallucinations of leprechauns or fairies upon waking up in the morning prior to the manic episode. LOL. : ) I was afraid of stuffed animals or statues of such things for a few months afterwards. Hallucinations are a very real experience.
I had emailed the author of Philosophy for Dummies, who is a Notre Dame professor of Philosophy, about something, and he emailed me back with “you have to be a little cracked to see the light.” So I think although brain cells may die during full blown mania, it could also be an enlightenment experience. Depression is probably dead brain cells.
I have gotten better. And now with Wellbutrin XL (sorry to extoll the virtues of an Rx : ),) I am very alive and I think also spiritual. I am permanently hypomanic. But I have tried mood stabilizers and they ruin the benefits of hypomania, while making me sleepy. I think I am on the same wavelength as the high school and middle school students I substitute teach for more so when hypomanic. So I am trying to see how it goes permanently hypomanic. (hypomanic is a small bunny hill level of mania – you can still function in your life, but there can be disadvantages, such as too much interest in sex – which is from the increase in dopamine or norapenephrine or both (brain chemicals.)
I see myself as a spiritual flame. And I see my classrooms of students as my lighting their flames. Even while I was in Las Vegas this weekend (my wife wanted to go) – a very hypomanic place, but also a place where people don’t necessarily seem to know who they are – disjointed – I was able to keep that image of myself being a flame and my students getting their flames lit, in order to remember who I was in the midst of all the Las Vegas chaos.
Your post is heavy and will take some digestion to say the least. So I’ll re-read it and also at some point finish the CWG book.
I guess my biggest challenge now is to remain calm. You mention in your next blog post that if you walk for 30 minutes and keep in mind your desire, that it can help. I’ll try that I guess, regarding the interest in finding another woman to date. I have never cheated on my wife, but hypomania makes you want to I guess. One of the disadvantages, perhaps the largest for me – the other would be insomnia sometimes, as much as zero sleep when it is at it’s worst. If I were to cheat on my wife, that wouldn’t do much for keeping my “word.” Desiring another woman may just seem like being life and energy, but what are the consequences?

I appreciated Jim’s response to the triangle–especially his comment about “cutting out the middle man.” His entire response is laced with amazing insights.
I just wanted to suggest that Swedenborg has written brilliantly about the triangle, saying that the Father is pure love, the Son is pure wisdom, and the Holy Spirit is pure power for useful service.
Swedenborg also cuts out the middle man, but in an amazingly refreshing way. Jesus, says Swedenborg, IS the Father and the Holy Spirit.
So thanks Jim, for a great post. You may be a little cracked, in a Divinely given way. Thanks for your openness and honesty. May the Lord’s light pour in through that crack to bless you and your marriage. –Ray
