Conversations with God

Can we be happier than God?

Saturday December 29, 2007

NOTE: Saturday is Prose & Poetry Day here on the blog, a time to take a moment once a week to relax the mind, open the heart, and access the soul through the gift of prose from one of the many books of The New Spirituality, and through the poetry of m. Claire, author of the forthcoming volume, Openings.

This week's prose...the first in a series of excerpts from the newest CWG book, Happier Than God, to be released in nine weeks by Hampton Roads Publishing Company.

Life was meant to be happy.

Do you believe that?

It’s true. I know it doesn’t seem like it when you look around, but it’s true. Life was meant to be happy.

You were meant to be happy. And if you are happy, you were meant to be happier. Even if you’re very happy, you can be even happier.

How happy? Just how happy can you be? Well…you can be happier than God.

I once heard a lady describing a gentleman who was very wealthy. She said, “He’s got more money than God!” That’s how I mean this. I mean to use the ultimate superlative.

I also mean the words I have used literally. I mean just what the words say. Which brings up a lot of questions. Does this mean that God even experiences the thing called “happiness”? (Yes.) Does that mean that God experiences unhappiness? (No.) If we can be happier than God, does that mean that we are separate from God? (No.) Then how is this possible?

Well, as it happens there is a formula by which you can be happier than God. All mystics have known it, most teachers of mystical wisdom have known it, some contemporary spiritual messengers know it, but it’s become, through the centuries, sort of a “mystery formula”…because it’s not talked about very much. Not very much at all.

Why? Simple. Very few of the folks to whom spiritual teachers and messengers might be talking have been able to believe what the “mystery formula” is said to be able to produce. And when you talk about things that no one believes, you can become very unpopular.

So even today, in what is supposed to be a time of intellectual and spiritual enlightenment, not many teachers and spiritual messengers reveal this formula, even if they know it. Or if they are talking about it, they are talking about only half of it. Most of them are keeping the other half, the most breathtaking part of this formula, under wraps. So what we have here is an amazing truth, but you don’t know the half of it.

What good is a truth if it’s not fully revealed? None at all, of course. In fact, only half a truth can be misleading. It can even be dangerous. So we’re going to speak the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth here. We’ll start with a look at...

...why you’re holding this book, and when we finish, we’ll have described an extraordinary mechanism.

Okay? Good. Here goes.

Ask yourself why you picked up this book.

Never mind. I’ll tell you. You picked up this book on an impulse.

And where did that impulse come from?

You. It came from you.

Why? Why did the impulse originate in you? What caused that to happen? And from what part of you did it come?

Those answers take up much of this book—and they’re pretty darn exciting. But for now, let’s move to an even larger question: How is it that this book just happened to be here—right here, where you are, right now—for you to even see, much less have an impulse about?

Ah, yes, now that is the key question. If you knew the answer to that question you could change your whole life.

Here’s the answer to that question. Get ready to change your whole life...

(This series of excerpts from Happier Than God continues in this space next Saturday. The book is scheduled for release March 1 and may be pre-ordered today at www.Amazon.com)

We say that we will have a Good Life.
This is a guarantee
if We are kind
to one another.
If We are patient.

If, when I speak, you listen
and if when you speak, I hear you.
This is assured,
if We continue to look
for one another.
If We want to find.

If, when I am here, I am seen,
and if, when you are here, I see you.

We say that this will be a Good Life.
This is a guarantee
if We are Naked
with one another.
If We are clothesless.
If, when I am vulnerable,
you shelter,
and if, when you are defenseless,
I protect.

First of all, to those who want to automatically dismiss Neale for charging someone for things, I think it is pretty judgemental of you to think that he is a fraud for this reason. You are looking for the bad in this. Everyone needs to do their part to make a living for themselves. In this economy, it is getting more and more difficult to do it. We don't know if he donates a lot of the money out to the needy, or we don't know how much money he gets personally from these books, and we don't know how he spends it. So it is unfairly judging him. I think Neale had to have gone through a lot in order to put these books out and I know he had to have had a lot of people attacking him for the things written in his books. Isn't that what just happened? Maybe you should look at his "millions" as God's reimbursement for obeying. God does bless those who are obedient you know! I am not innocent of being judgemental, but I can honestly say that I make am effort everyday to catch myself when I am. I have learned a lesson on this at a young age. It began as I worked as a factory worker. I saw the office people as the ones who have it sooo easy. Everything about it looked so much easier. Then I went to college and became one of those office people for the same company. All of a sudden I found out that the factory workers were beginning to treat me different. I found out that when the factory worker goes home at night, their bodies are tired. They go to bed and their head races. For the office worker, they go to bed their mind tired but their body twitches. There is a good side to being a factory worker rather than an office worker. They get out of work earlier, they leave and they can leave their work there, and they know pretty much what their day will consist of. The office worker gets to come in later, they get more office parties, they don't get messy, and they always appear to have more time on their hands. Office people usually get paid less than the factory worker unless they are high up on the chain. People must stop looking at others and assuming things. The grass always looks greener on the other side, but that doesn't mean they can grow a bed of roses. We don't know what is truly going on in someone elses life. This is obvious even in bestfriend relationships. You will usually only know what the other is willing to share. So we all must stop claiming to know what is going on in someone elses life and how good they have it.

To those of you who believe God has it so easy I ask you this. Do you have any children? I often get my clarity about God in the that I see him as my father. Does it make us happy to see our children in jail? Does it make us happy to see our children addicted to drugs? Does it make us happy to see our children killing eachother? I could go on and on!!!! God is our ultimate parent. He is always there for us. Like we do as a parent, we try to tell our children not to this or that because we want to keep them from the consequences of these things, yet because they have a will of their own, we can't force them to chose the correct way. It seems that we all sometime decide to learn the hard way, and at times some of us choose never to learn our lesson. God is the one left to pick up the pieces and I don't see this as having it easy.
Thank God that He does have unconditional love!!
God bless all in abundance.

First of all, to those who want to automatically dismiss Neale for charging someone for things, I think it is pretty judgemental of you to think that he is a fraud for this reason.

** It was not automatic, is was an examination of the evidence that Neale presented. It would be in his best interest (and everybody’s interest) if he wasn’t so blatant about peddling his books and satisfying his “Lust for money”. He wont even answer a question, unless you sign up for his $9.95 a month “Inner Circle”

You are looking for the bad in this.

** We are not looking for the bad, he is presenting it !

Everyone needs to do their part to make a living for themselves. In this economy, it is getting more and more difficult to do it.

** I guess that is true even for multi-millionaires . . .perhaps even multi-billionaires ! So how does the rich justify begging from the poor ?

We don't know if he donates a lot of the money out to the needy, or we don't know how much money he gets personally from these books, and we don't know how he spends it.

** What we do know, is that he is and has been a NY Times best seller for years, ever since CWG I. How much money would you estimate that he had made since then. (not to mention all the seminars, and cruises he engages himself in !) He’s put himself in the same boat as organized religion ! In fact he has turned himself into an organized religion, with himself as the self-proclaimed Messiah for the New Age Spirituality.

So it is unfairly judging him.

** We are not judging him, only presenting the other half of his half-truth … I ‘m sure that you would agree, that half truth is no Truth!

I think Neale had to have gone through a lot in order to put these books out and I know he had to have had a lot of people attacking him for the things written in his books.

Uhhhh . . .I guess you haven’t seen his movie. BTW it’s an excellent flic . . don’t miss it !

Maybe you should look at his "millions" as God's reimbursement for obeying.

** So, I guess you are one that knows about his “millions” How about the reimbursement for all the poor that “obey’ . . .Oh, I get it, they get reimbursed by going to Heaven . . .Thank God !

God does bless those who are obedient you know! I am not innocent of being judgemental, but I can honestly say that I make am effort everyday to catch myself when I am.
** Good for you . . and God bless you too ! . . .As much as Neale !

I found out that when the factory worker goes home at night, their bodies are tired. They go to bed and their head races. For the office worker, they go to bed their mind tired but their body twitches. There is a good side to being a factory worker rather than an office worker.

** And so what’s the point ?

Office people usually get paid less than the factory worker unless they are high up on the chain.

** Just so you know, factory workers start at minimum wage . . .for the Illegal aliens, it is $6 per hour, for their tired bodies and racing minds (which also includes twitching )

People must stop looking at others and assuming things.

** You are the only one assuming things here.

The grass always looks greener on the other side, but that doesn't mean they can grow a bed of roses.

** Uhhhh, whut? Are you being coached by Neale ? Listen, “Along with the rose, so too, the thorn grows”

We don't know what is truly going on in someone elses life.

** Yep ! The common folk expression goes like this “Try walking a mile in their shoes!”

So we all must stop claiming to know what is going on in someone elses life and how good they have it.

** Absolutely . . .It would be good if you and Neale take some of that advice !

Do you have any children?

** Yep !

I often get my clarity about God in the that I see him as my father.

** God is my Father, and I too get a lot of clarity from talking with my Father !

Does it make us happy to see our children in jail?

** Nope, but it cost me a lot of money, keeping my kids out of jail. Perhaps I would have been Way better off financially letting there rot in jail ! . . . But Love doesn’t work that Way . . does it ?

Does it make us happy to see our children addicted to drugs?

** Nope, not at all ! . . . Not even attached to the legal drugs that Big Pharm and Doctors peddle to make their millions. How much do you contribute to that industry . . or are you part of that industry ?

Does it make us happy to see our children killing eachother?

** I don’t like seeing anybody killing anybody, or anything, but the reality of the Father/Mother Earth seems to have no problem with that. Killing is not the problem, it is why you kill that is the problem!

God is our ultimate parent.

** A-parently so !

He is always there for us.

Absolute Truth !

Like we do as a parent, we try to tell our children not to this or that because we want to keep them from the consequences of these things, yet because they have a will of their own, we can't force them to chose the correct way.

** Yep, it’s called “freewill” and is the second greatest gift from God after His/Her Love (hint-there is no such thing as forced Love !)

It seems that we all sometime decide to learn the hard way, and at times some of us choose never to learn our lesson.

** Life itself is all about a Time For Lessons . . maybe either you or Neale could write that book !

God is the one left to pick up the pieces and I don't see this as having it easy.

** Here’s a tip for you “If God does not want it to happen, guess what, it ain’t gonna happen !” (and you can take that to the bank!)

Thank God that He does have unconditional love!!

** God does not have unconditional love . . God is Uncompromising, Unconditional Love !

God bless all in abundance.

** That’s part of the problem, God gave us everything, and now we are ALL fighting over it !

Our Prayer

Our Family
Who
Are in Heaven,
Holy be Our Name
Thy Kin shall come
And their will be done
On Earth, as it is in Heaven
Give us this Light, our daily Food
And forgive all that disrespect God’s Love
As we on Earth will do what God’s love does in Heaven.
Love one another by respecting God’s Light in Each Other
And, Dear Angels in Heaven, Lead us not in to temptation,
But deliver us to our own Light; a place where we discover
There is no evil only God’s light even in the darkest of our ways.
For God,
Is
The Kingdom,
The Power,
And
The Glory
Of Love
Forever
And Ever
For All Men
A Men
