Want to be happier?

Monday March 31, 2008

Everyone wants to be happier, right? Of course. Even the happiest among us cannot get too much happiness. And those who are not so happy could really use a boost...

Over the next several months I'll be sharing with you here 17 Steps to Being Happier Than God. These come right out of the book Happier Than God, and we'll consider them one at a time here.

Step #1 may be the most important step of all -- and, indeed, may be the most important step you ever took in your life.

Step 1. Bring an end to Separation Theology

Work in your own life and your personal belief system to eliminate any thought of separation from God. Just get rid of that theology.

Separation Theology is a theology that insists that we are “over here” and God is “over there.” Its doctrine tells us that God separated us from God as punishment for our sins, and that our job now is to get back to God, which is possibly only if God will allow it, which God will do only if we obey God’s commands, follow God’s laws, and submit to God’s will. In short, we must do What God Wants. (For my separate exploration of this subject, see What God Wants, from Atria Books, 2006.)

This Separation Theology has produced a Separation Cosmology (that is, a way of looking at all of life on this planet that includes separation as its basic principle), which, in turn, has produced a Separation Sociology (that is, a way of socializing our species that requires us to act as separate beings serving our own best and separate interests), which has produced a Separation Pathology (that is, pathological behavior producing suffering, conflict, violence, and death by our own hands).

Only when our Separation Theology is replaced by a Unity Theology will our Separation Pathology be healed. We must come to understand that all of life is One. This is your first step and it is mine. It is the jumping off point. It is the beginning of the end of how things now are. It is the start of a new creation, of the placing into reality of the next grandest version of the greatest vision ever you held about who you are.

The Unspoken Truth reveals to us that Oneness is not a characteristic of life…life is a characteristic of Oneness.

Life is the expression of Oneness Itself. God is the expression of Oneness Itself. Life and God are One. Oneness is God and life. It is a circle.

When we understand this, we see God in everyone and in everything. Including our divine selves. We see clearly that we are God Godding. That is, God in the act of recreating Godself. God, and life, evolves. God never stays the same, but becomes bigger and more of what God is, in every moment.

God is more of everything now than God was a nanosecond ago. When we solve our own case of “mistaken identity,” when we identify ourselves as That Which God Is, we will be as happy as God.

But now follow this: If we use the term “God” to indicate the Collective Divinity and the term “you” to indicate the Individuation of Divinity, and if the day comes when you have raised your consciousness to a level where you are happier than many other Individuations…well, then, you will be happier than “God.”

The Individuation that is “You” will be of higher consciousness than the largest number of other individuations of Divinity that we call “God,” just as previous messengers and avatars and masters (Buddha, Moses, Jesus, Muhammad, and more) have experienced their Individuated Consciousness to be raised above the level of the Collective Consciousness. It then became their mission to raise the Collective Consciousness of humanity so that the Entirety Which Is God could evolve even further, continuing to expand in consciousness and total self-awareness.

This is what they were doing here.

All of life is Divine, and when we treat all of life as Divine we will change everything. For how can one aspect, how can a single Individuation of Divinity, ever be totally happy so long as any other Individuation is totally unhappy? The answer is, it cannot. And so, we will raise each other up, that we might all experience ourselves, one by one, being “happier than God.”

“I am come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly,” saith the Master. And the Master-in-You will one day say the same thing. When the earth is thus transformed, person by person, no more will children die of starvation. No more will millions suffer from oppression. No more will nation battle nation. When we treat everyone as Divine, there will be war no more.

Next Week: a look at Step 2: Stay in touch with who you are.

Dear Michelle Ma Belle,

You make me smile--they are contagious aren't they? :)

And, you are right, what we choose to create now affects the world of our children's future. So here is to creating a world of peace and love and harmony one daffadil and one tree at a time. I like that.

Thank you for being you, Michelle. You are a shining light.

Love,

Michelle

Dear Michelle,

I posted the two stories earlier, but they did not appear???

Anyway here they are; THE DAFFODIL PRINCIPLE, AND THE MAN WHO PLANTED TREES AND GREW HAPPINESS. Type in on any search engine. The information to me is very hopeful and revitalizing, reaffirming of the same.

Hope you enjoy!!

i just found out that my supposed fiance is having an affair. it was a very sick distristful, and controlling. (i'm not saying i'm not to blame, too)i have had " a full plate" i;m having serious health issues, i have a brother who is having serious health issues, work is b3eing difficult (to say the least). anyway, this is the first relationship serious rlationship i have had since being divorced for almost 3 years, because i felt that i couln't escape negativity. i have no children and no close friends(i isolate) or family(look up dysfunction and you will see the collop family). i struggled/struggling at times with addiction). i have not used in almost 12 years, although, i have waanted to end this life(not now), and instead of having total faith that GOD loves me and is with me all the time, i just have to keep contact with him/her/it and realize i dont need humans to affirm me, because i am a child of GOD deserving of love annd respect and attempt to do that with others. i still struggle with being comforable in my own skin, grateful for what GOD has given me. i have found myself conciously having to hold my head up. i must remind myself everydsy, sometimes more than that that any human i place expectations on i will be let down, not that it is done purposely(sometimes it is) but most is not, we are human. i must remember and feel in my heart that GOD is the only thing that will not let me down and accepts me for me. thanks i really needed to share that

Dear Constance,

Ineresting name? I of course thought instantly how close your name is to the word constant and that nothing is constant except change. There are so.............many things to give you, say to you, but really the best advice is that if you know that God is listening and seems to be the only one listening, well do you believe that we are all part of God? Do you believe that you are connected and part of God? Well, if you do them I am connected and I am part of
God and I AM LISTENING TO YOU RIGHT NOW!!!! I came back to review something on this blog and as you know it is from days ago, but I get that message sometimes, or it is unfinished in my mind, and I go back.

The beatles said, "I AM HE AS YOU ARE HE AS YOU ARE ME AND WE ARE ALL TOGETHER." As you speak we all hear and something someone else says resonates in all of us to some degree. Now, maybe you will find some comfort in knowing that everyone goes through something ALL OF THE TIME and have understanding and compassion for yourself and others. Then ask for the help you need from God or your source and then know that you have already got it and it comes to you when you can most clearly recieve it and understand it. So, start assuming and live like you want to live and you will attract it. One thing I am very careful to not do is to complain and seek support entirely from someone else before confiding completely in the big guy. Then who and what you need will come. You're still here aren't you??? Who did you ask to help you with that???

I think you have what it takes Constance. A really good place to start would be the Books Mr. Walsch has written, they explain the connection quite clearly, then you decide how to implement and whether to implement. Also, I am seeing a great starting point in Eckhart Tolle's book, A NEW EARTH. It helps one figure out how to understand how we get here from where we were in the past and with God as reference point or with God by our side. GREAT BOOK.

I will send you energy, but don't forget you can call on all the energy you need anytime you want just ask.

Love, Michelle Ma Belle
