Conversations with God

What is God's message to you today?

Thursday June 26, 2008

God touches our lives in remarkable ways...and never stops doing it. This is the experience of everyone who has a personal relationship with God, and it is my experience continually. For instance, some days I wonder why I am doing...

I wanted to personally thank you Neale for sharing your "Conversations with God" with us all, thus ensuring that it became "our" conversation with the almighty as well...

I Discovered your new Book "Happier Than God "By Chance" 3 weeks ago, this quickly led to the discovery of the movie and your other publications, I am now the prouud owner of Happier Than God, CWG Book 1, 2 & soon to be 3.

I feel as though my eyes are now "fully open" and I feel a "oneness with all" that is repidly transforming my life.

Thank you Neale.

Thank you for that article Neale. I've been going around scratching my head with this same question. I tend to get a bit confused about when I'm supposed to take action, and when I'm supposed to wait. I think most people get caught up in that place. I've manifested so many new things in my life (I'm a lifetime Religious Science member)but have never "arrived" at a place where I always KNOW no matter how many times I've done it.
Your books have so inspired me, even though I was quite familiar with "the message". It encouraged me to start my own Conversations with God. How that has transformed my life (!). Because it transformed my life, I passed it along to others who have also had great healing in reading the words. My ex (Stewart) absolutely adores the series, and it has helped him confront a number of addictions...and other ways he avoids responsibility. I am grateful we can be friends, even though we're not a couple anymore.
I find myself somewhat annoyed when spiritual pundits (like Wilber & Cohen) don't "get what you're doing". I can't help but want to defend you, even though I know you don't need it. I don't think this is a good time for those of us (who agree about most things) to hurt each other in the name of spirituality.
If I remember right, I have never heard you put down any other spiritual teachers, and I appreciate that. Thanks for being authentic Neale, and yes...it scares the Hell out of lots of people and that too is a good thing.

Blessings :)

Hello Neale,

I been a reader of the Conversations with God books for the last 10 years. I too try to pass along the message and insights contained in the books. The other day I had a conversation about the books with someone and repeated the same message you ended your blog with

"I want you to know that you can count on God to be there. God will supply you with wisdom and clarity, comfort and assurance, through every means available. The lyrics of the next song you hear. The words on the billboard around the next highway you take. The chance utterance of a friend you "just happen" to meet on the street.

Count on it. You will have your conversation with God today. Yes, you will. Simply open yourself to it.

Then let me know what you heard."

That is when she turned to me and asked "ok, so what has God told you?"

It was at this moment that I realized I didn't have an answer. I was stuck. I thought I got it. I thought I understood all this stuff because it feels so good and warms your heart when you read it. God talks to everyone all the time. Great news! Good to Hear! Then the question came.... so Adam, what did he tell you. It was a wake up call to say the least. I realized how important it is to stay centered in this question. To trust that God is talking to you all the time, and to be aware of that. To know that the insights will come, to know the message you need to here will reveal itself. I just need to be aware of that.

This blog was just one more reminder of that.

Thank you Neale.
Adam

Thank you, Neale, for the wonderful reminder that God is involved with every aspect of our lives and we need only to be receptive to His messages, whatever they might be and whatever form they take.
Amen, JanMarie

I may sound silly asking you this question but then I sometimes felt so confused. I do not want to hurt the holy spirit but then I need to know. At times, I feel He hear us but at times not, was it my imagination. How do I really, really, know that I am worshipping Him correctly.

I wanted to thank you and God, for all the daily email that is always right on with my current life situation. I believe that you and God are always having a conversation, but how do you manage to send just the right, or appropriate message each day to me? Its as if a mini-cam is over my shoulder, or better yet in my head. There are so many people in the messenger circle so how do you know what to send each day to me, what is the process that you use?
It's helping, but I'm curious.
Sincerely,
Terry

How does God speak to each one of us? In a loud broadcasting voice? In a still voice without decibels? In picture book form? And how is His voice heard above the clutter of the noisemakers we live with? Who or what holds the answers for you? As the scripture says the sheep will know my voice. What more is there to say--God's voice is recognizable. For me that is sufficient to my understanding of how God and I will converse. Such communication is not conventional, probably not convenient and often outside my comfort zone. On the other hand it ratchets up my awareness of how the vast spirit of the Almighty can zero in on my needs and my greater desire to have a one on one visit, one not brokered by a third party.

Good morning dear Ones,

God asked me to say to you, Neale,

Thank you.

Thank you for having the immense courage to be the harbinger of the most wondrous news concerning the nature of me that humanity has seen in a very long time. Thank you for reaching into the Bible and raising up the long looked over transcendent truth that no-one is ever alone and, indeed, that I reside within each and every one of you. Thank you for teaching not only that I am never separate from you, or from anyone, but that I am You. I am each of You. I am she. I am he. I am we. We are One.

Thank you for showing humanity the glorious truth of yourselves, that you are all creating your own realities through the very thought you hold of yourselves, through the very power that I endowed you with when, as the Biblical masters taught, I created you in my own image. Thank you for showing humanity that that sentence is not just words on paper, but it is Word that can be made flesh to all who desire to experience themselves as the Gods and Goddesses that they truly are--beings of pure joy, love, and wonder.

Thank you for showing humanity that you are all divinely connected to each other, to the universe, and to me and that through the power of me, you have been given free will to choose the reality you desire to experience, and that you are here to develop your gifts of intentionality as divine creators, to infiltrate space-time with new and more wondrous mansions of thought.

Thank you for showing humanity how to turn away from fear, which is the opposite of me, in all things, in all circumstances, in all actions, in all words, in all thought, and how to turn toward Love, which is that which I am and that which you are.

Thank you for showing humanity how to love themselves. Thank you for showing humanity that they cannot truly love another until they love themselves, and that it is one thing to know yourselves as love, but quite another to experience yourselves as love.

Thank you for showing that the essence of me--the stream of Love--runs through all things, all people, and that everything you can see, touch or taste is love itself.

Thank you for showing that there is nothing greater than to feel yourselves being your true, natural state, as you were first created, as Love, and that in order to experience yourselves as this highest state of divinity, you only need choose it, and then express it. You only need choose to put Love into action. You only need choose to give Love to everyone and everything always in allWays.

Love and Peace,

Michelle

HEAVEN #2772 Help the World Grow Heavenward, June 27, 2008

God said:

World life is important to you. Naturally, it is and is meant to be. It is where you consciously spend most of your time. It may be repetitive. It may not always be scintillating. It may not even be your cup of tea. Yet it serves a purpose. It's better not to worship worldly life, yet you do engage in it no matter what. Why not enjoy it while you're at it, and make it wonderful?

You don't want to be a snob to the world and call the world unfortunate names. Just as you might live in a house that is not your ideal, it is nevertheless where you live. Better to clean it up than bemoan your home's condition. Make your house happy.

No one is to be high and mighty about the world, as if you know better. Of course, you do know better, and yet you are not better to chastise the world. Better to find that about the world that you do genuinely appreciate.

Beloveds, I gave you the world as a gift. You wouldn't be so rude as to disdain a gift I give you, would you? You wouldn't badmouth it or kick it in the shins. Genuinely, find good use for it.

The world is asking you to love it. Loving the world is like watering your plants, feeding your livestock, and taking your dog for walks. Thank you for taking care of the world around you. Succor the world on My behalf. I ask you to take care of the world I made. I ask you to raise it so it may grow Heavenward and grow strong.

You would give a lot for someone to honor you, wouldn't you? You would give a lot to have others point out your strengths and make you strong. When people have pointed out your weaknesses, that didn't make you strong. It made you weak. Never mind for now what the world doesn't do. That will take care of itself. It really will, simply by your focus on all the good the world gives you. Let the world flex its muscles of love. Talk nice to it. Uphold it, and you will uplift it.

What good do you do when you disown the world? What good do you do for yourself or anyone when you knock the world? Open your eyes and heart to the world, and the world will flourish. It will come to attention in order to serve your desires.

You and the world have a reciprocal relationship. You are in tandem. The world goes up and down according to how you look at it. The world will knock itself out for you just for the chance to meet the image you have of it. In your mind, give a party to honor the world. You don't want the world to slip through your fingers. The world wants to be in your hands and your mind and heart.

Consider the world your dog you walk on a leash. Think the dog is ill-behaved, and likely he will be. Think your dog well-behaved, and likely he will be. The dog and the world yearn to serve you and serve you well. They just don't always know how.

When your mother cooks you a meal, and you let her know how much you enjoy her cooking, you can be sure she will cook great food for you again. You would be giving your mother the energy to prepare for you the food you like. Withhold your appreciation, and the less likely your mom will cook for you. What do you want, beloveds?

Do you want your mom to cook what you like? If you do, you have to let her know what you like. If you want the world to be a better place, you have to let the world know what you like. Encourage the world.

Dear Neale,

I have only just seen, "Conversations With God," although I have the books. I felt the pain and the joys and the presence of God. I loved it so much I shared it with a number of people who then shared the message with others.
I was offered a part as an extra by Stephen Simon, but my children were wild teenagers then so I didn't want to leave them. They have all settled down to college work now so I am free to travel: please let me know when you're making your next film and I will be there!

I have talked to God all of my life: we have written beautiful poetry together and I listen as God encourages me to share my words, wisdom and time with others in need.
The part in the film when your mother tells you that you will not love was particularly painful for me as I was told I would never love or be loved. There is so much to forgive and yet with forgiveness there is a sweet joy, the release of a burden.

I was looking forward to seeing you in Dublin but heard you were ill, I hope you are feeling better. I won't make the trip now, I will pray
for your health instead.

I love the way God guides us and speaks to us in all ways every day, and every night through our dreams.
Loving God and all His creation is a wonderful place to be.

God Bless You,

Sheila

All:

God does speak through movies, music, billboards, etc.

For me, God's spoken through my mother and father; Evangelical Republicans; my brother and sisters; a Jewish childhood friend and his generous family; the Beatles; Mormons; University of Nebraska at Kearney Professors and Staff; Latinos; Carl Sagan; Ralph Waldo Emerson; Kevin Costner; Unitarian Universalists; Soka Gakkai Buddhists; L Ron Hubbard; Pulp Fiction; Ralph Nader; my Zen sensei, Koyo, at the Boulder Zen Center; the Rolling Stones; U2; Democrats; the Seoul metropolitan area and South Korea, Canadians; students I've taught and peer teachers; Eckhart Tolle; SCIENCE OF MIND/Religious Science; A Course in Miracles; etc.

Heck, I've even been reading stuff into fortune cookies.

Thank you Neale for the daily emails. I'm going through a tough time transitioning out of teaching into nursing. You're new book HAPPIER THAN GOD has clarified some ACIM principles. Just typing all this reminds me of the practice of GRATITUDE.

Also, my wife, who is practically God incarnate for me - not just as Eros - speaks with a soft voice, graceful actions, beauty, and patience.

Blessed be all!

Dear Yeoh Lily,

Your comment touched me, so I'd like to give you my thoughts.

You are not silly. God hears EVERY thought you have. God is always with you, and always will be. Speak to God from your heart. That is worship.

God bless you.

Dear Neale and all this blog’s readers

Actually God sent me a message today, through Adam and Lilith and he wants me to send you a message, about Adam and Lilith.

I don’t always have the time to write here, but I try to read your blog regularly and there were two posts that called my attention particularly, “Is the woman the temptress?” and “Is the Bible the word of God?”.

Yes, I believe the Bible is the word of God, but I also believe that each book of the Bible carries also the beliefs, prejudices and fears of the author that has written it. There are several examples of that:
1 - the books of Maccabeus – which are in the Catholic Bible – the 1st book, despite mentioning a war, you have a feeling of holiness, the 2nd one, I find, is rather disturbing.

2 - Another example is the description of Jesus Nativity. Mathew talks about Jesus royal background, making him the heir of David, Batsheba and Solomon, and also being visited by the 3 Kings. Luke gives a different view, more humble and descending from David and Ruth.

3 - Another example in the Bible, I think is unique, is Jeremiah 26:3, because God says He will “relent”, and not harm His people due to all the sins they’ve done. I was amazed when I read that, because in the Portuguese Bible it uses the word “repent,” so in Jeremiah’s view God also repents from things He was going to do.

4
a. The Bible’s opinion about women often is very negative, but there are a few happy exceptions like Jesus words in Luke “Mary has chosen that best part, which shall not be taken from her”, or Isaiah’s chapter 54.

b . Recently I have found another amazing example. You see Eve was not Adam’s only wife. All the Bible gives us is two different versions of how man and woman were created. In chapter 1:27 “In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them”, and then in chapter 2:22 “Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib, and he brought her to man.” The book that has all the details is the Zohar, a Jewish book, and there it says that God created man and woman as One, and then he divided them into Adam and Lilith. The problem was Lilith wanted equal rights, including when making love. She also wanted to stay on top, and since Adam did not agree, Lilith left him, and the Jewish tradition says she became the creator or demons and killer of babies (you can find more on the Internet, if you search under Lilith). Adam was left alone, and he asked God for another wife, one that was more obedient, and God gave him Eve, flesh of his flesh. What I find so amazing about both the stories of Lilith and Eve is that either way, women are the introducers of evil in the world. I think it’s very clear these stories show how scared men actually were of women. I can give a suggestion, why that is, even though I have no scientific evidence to support it. Paulo Coelho, in “Brida” - one of his books -, says that the feminine essence is associated with water, and the male essence associated with fire. As a coincidence, or maybe not, shortly after the creation, the world was flooded, so says the story of Noah, which could be the final consequence of the female dominion in the world. The same way the temperature is rising every year, with all the disturbances it is bringing to the earth, which could be the final consequence of the male dominion in the world, in the past 3-4 millenniums. Could this be a shocking example of the effects of collective conscience?

Neale thank you for showing me how to be “Happier than God”. I am finding out that indeed happiness is cumulative, even though I haven’t quite figured how to avoid a bad mood, on those days I’m really tired, but I’m working on it. The gratitude attitude is a wonderful trick. I did not make a tattoo, or wear a bracelet, but I have written the lyrics to a song. The “Don’t oppose…” trick, is also a wonderful one, as well as why feelings are stronger than thoughts in attracting what we wish. Bono Vox, says in one of his songs that “a feeling is much stronger than a thought”, and I used to think that thoughts were all we had to work our feelings. Well it is possible to work directly on the feeling. I found that in another wonderful book. “The Passion Test” a book written by Janet and Chris Attwood, but if you buy it, don’t just read it, do the test, as you’re reading the book. Not only does it pay off, it ends up being a lot of fun. The idea in it, is for you to clarify your thoughts about what you would like in your life, but the test also makes you work on your feelings

Love, love, love to you all

Neale, I travel for my work. Driving down the interstate the other day, I passed a truck with "Remember Lot's Wife" written in shoe polish on the back windshield.

You have to understand, I drive and pray all of the time. Just have a good time with God in my car. He gives me signs all of the time. This one blew my mind.

"Remember Lot's wife?" OF COURSE! Don't look back. There is a very long story about why I had been looking back, which I will not bore you with at this time. Needless to say that story was a life changing one. Also one that I have carried for many years.

Here I am driving down the road, and God screamed at me -- "Don't Look Back!" I have not had a blessing from God as strong as that one in a long time.

Get rid of the baggage and move forward. You can't do what I want you to do until you do that.

Neale keep doing what you do, so people like me will know that it is OK to listen to God's voice. It is not our minds. It is not our imagination. It is our God telling us what He wants us to do.

Thanks,
Ree

One does well to remember that the Source graciously provides us with every concept with which we play. It is how we play with them that determines our realized experiences. Play more and play carefully. We are all One. One designed it this way before embarking on the journey of Many as Many. Namaste.

Dear Neil: I am most profoundly thankful you took the time to write the CWG series and for your continued work opening up the hearts and minds of millions. In my personal experience I can only completely validate your work despite the many naysayers who are not quite awakened enough or hungry enough to accept that what you wrote is true. I will share several vignettes from my experience.

In 1993, after surviving hurricane Andrew with my then wife, I was confronted with the fact that she wanted to end the marriage. It was coming all along but at the time it felt like the end of the world. I had lost everything, then I was losing her as well. I went to Philadelphia to try and fix it. During the time I was in deep prayer and meditation constantly searching for the answer. I had been in a deep search for truth since having my eyes opened in the military, a search that I have yet to abandon. One night I excused myself from my wife and went to meditate. Before long I found myself in The Presence. I knew where I was, I was seeing it with eyes but my eyes were closed, I was experiencing what I can only describe as the most profound peace, security, stability and most importantly unconditional love. I was in a place where galaxies were being born. I felt nothing to fear and being quite a bit cocky considering where I was I began to ask questions: Was I damned for my mistakes? How would I fare on Judgment day? Questions most Christians would ask. I got a simple response. "NO JUDGMENT DAY! NO JUDGMENT!" Of course I was shocked. I enumerated the "sins" I knew should put me in hell. "NO JUDGMENT" was the response again. Then I asked about the most heinous criminal I could imagine, Adolf Hitler. Again! "NO JUDGMENT! ONLY LOVE!" A short time later I came out of the encounter and shared it with my ex. Of course we parted ways and it hurt.

I read "Conversations With God In 2001 after moving to Atlanta from Miami. I cried for the simple reason that here it was, all that I had acquired as knowing from that encounter. Two years later, after returning the book to its owner, I was hungry for the next books. I was so broke I couldn't afford them and they were out at the library. So I talked to God about it. Can you believe that no more than a week later I was walking back to my house from the library when I got this sudden urge to walk down a street I never took to get home. At the curb about halfway the block, were two boxes loaded with books being thrown away. Being a hopeless book lover I rummaged the box. I found, in that box, two brand new books by you. The next two in the series. I could not believe my luck! I opened the cover of one of them and I found a powder blue stick 'em stuck to the inner cover. On it were the words "I LOVE YOU!" Even now it brings tears to my eyes, but then I cried like a baby! The miracles did not end there. I dived into the book, I can't remember which now because those books left my hands as soon as I finished. I lent them, never to see them again. Anyway, while reading it, I came across a passage where you described the very same question about Adolf Hitler and the very same answer. The shcok of it turned me into a blubbering mess. It was just embarrassing! I can go on and on about the many miracles I have encountered. Things so amazing I fear to share them. Maybe someday I will write my story. It is a story of God's relentless, imperishable love for us. Thank you Neal. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

The other night i had a dream where i was in a building of some sort and i was living there. i believe my rommate was infact jesus, but i never looked him in the face. and i began to read the bible in my dream. in the bible i found many secret messages from god and began doing him favors and then i woke up. that morining i looked up some things on the internet and found this... To dream that God confers distinct favors upon you, you will become the favorite of a cautious and prominent person who will use his position to advance yours.
i believe this message relates to me.

God always has a message for you. It is in His Word. If you want to know what He has to say then turn a page in the bible. You must read it so it is in your heart. Later the Holy Spirit will use that which is within you at certain points in your life. You will know when it happens.

God doesnt want to just give you a message, He wants to sit down and talk with you. It's turely an amazing thing.

My message from God today is that we have been given this unique, physical body to be able to physically, tangibly, sacrificially, and sometimes even painfully, help and comfort His children and bring them closer to Him in His Earthly kingdom, and thus His heavenly one. In other words, we, when in heaven, cannot do for God what we are privileged to be able to do in this life for Him.

"Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the grave, where you are going, ther is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom."

God's message to me this week was even when all hope seems gone thats when you need to put your faith in him the most. I am in Iraq and My wife almost left me this this weekend. I never let God have control our new life together. When my wife was almost completely lost to me and didn't even want to wait for me to come home (Lets give her some credit, I am great at pushing people away even when I don't want to or mean to, and i pushed her way too far) I prayed and cried out to God that I saw where I went wrong. I was truly honest in all of my faults and didn't hide a single one to him. I spoke from the bottom of my heart, to give me a glimmer of hope. I promised that if her and I worked it out I would seek counseling for myself and for us. I truly never wanted anything to work out more in my life than I did my marriage. She was my soulmate, I knew it the day I met her in Church. We didn't date for a year, we both knew there was a connection, and in 1 1/2 weeks we were married after we started dating. Anyway, after crying out to the Lord in absolute honesty, my wife asked me to talk the next day. She said she had a dream that I told her to take my things to my mom's. She said it hurt her feelings. I pray to God now every day, whether its to ask for help, or just to thank him for how wonderful he is. My wife and i are now talking about our future again, and we can't forget what happened exactly, but we are past it. Or at least I pray to God to keep us strong everyday. And I will continue to do this no matter how good we feel with eachother, because nothing is possible without God!!! Good luck to all. God has the answers, how hard are you willing to look?
