There is a question that has been asked by philosophers and theologians from the beginning of time. Now, here is the answer that was received in Conversations with God...
Sunday School All Week opens today. We will begin by considering the topic, What is life?
Life is energy, expressed. Life is not an event or occurrence, but an eternal expression of an eternal process by which energy demonstrates itself in endlessly multitudinous forms. This Energy has no "beginning" and no "end." It is best not to think of this in a straight line, using strraight-line logic. Think of it as a circle. Use circular logic. Life always was, is now, and always will be. It turns in on Itself.
Life is the "Isness." It simply IS. It is That Which Is. It is going on Now, and only Now. There is no other time that Life is occurring. And it is occurring, always, Right Here. There is no other place for It to occur. Life is always occurring, and all ways occurring, Here and Now. Everything else is an illusion; a way of separating Here and Now, and of dividing them into parcels of the mind (or, ways of perceiving) called Then and There, Before and After, and so forth. Yet It is all expressing in a Single Moment and a Single Place.
This expression of The Energy that we call Life follows basic principles. These are: Functionality, Adaptability, and Sustainability. All of Life is Functional. If it teeters towards the edge of functionality, it immediately Adapts, thus rendering Itself Sustainable -- and, therefore, optimally Functional again.
There is only One Energy, expressing Itself variously, depending upon the rate of speed - or the frequency -- at which The Energy oscillates. The fundamental and basic form of Energy is the Wave. Energy expresses as waves.
When waves move through what we refer to as space (more correctly, the ether), they vibrate. Indeed, it is this vibration that causes the movement; that is the movement. It would be accurate to say that all of Life is vibration.
Whenever The Energy that is Life vibrates, it makes noise that waves through the ether with the primal sound of om. This is an extremely low frequency rumble that vibrates with massive intensity that impacts upon Itself.
This is the most important statement you will ever hear. I am saying that the effect creates an effect upon itself. Thus, Life is both an Expression and an Experience; both The Creator and The Created.
It would be accurate to say that Life expresses Itself through the expression of Life Itself -- and that Life experiences Itself through the experience of Life Itself. In other words, the Expression produces an Experience which produces and Expression which produces an Experience which produces an Expression -- and on and on and on in a never-ending, circular process in which both the Expression and the Experience are occurring sequentially and simultaneously in the Only Moment There Is.
Thus, Life is sequentaneous..
When you understand this, you understand everything you need to know about Everything.
The movement of Life, its vibration, produces more movement or vibration, which produces more movement or vibration, in ever increasing frequency. This process is called Evolution.
As The Energy that is Life vibrates more and more rapidly, it agitates itself, producing heat. Eventually this heat becomes white hot - creating Light.
One of our mythologies put it this way: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God; and the Word was God. And God said, "Let there be light."
This Light might be called the Physicalization of God, because it can be seen by the naked eye. Yet in truest sense, the All of Everything is a Physicalization of the Divine, because there is nothing that is not physical. All Things are physical, although not in the sense that we have come to most commonly use the word.
In our normal, day-to-day vocabulary, that which is "physical" is generally understood to mean that which can be seen, or at least measured (such as sound, gravity, etc.) In truth, all things -- seen and unseen -- are physical, and some things are more than that. These things are META-physical -- that is, larger than the merely physical. Yet "metaphysical" does not mean NON-physical...and this is a major misunderstanding.
Life is a never-ending experience of physicality, in one form or another. What we call the "spirit" is simply the body in another form. Body, Mind, and Spirit are actually three experiences of the Same Expression, called Life.
ASSIGNMENT #1 - Answer the question: What does any of this have to do with your personal experience, or the experience of our species upon the earth? Submit your answer in writing in the Comments Section of this Blog.
EXERCISE #1 - Look around you and see if you can observe Energy vibrating in any form. Make a list of ways in which you notice this occurring.
PRACTICAL APPLICATION #1 - Use the knowledge you have gained here in a practical way at least three times before this day is out. Write a short paragraph on how you did this and post it in the Comments Section.
(Each Sunday we will consider a topic of The New Spirituality and then be given an Assignment, an Exercise, and an Application. Monday through Wednesday we will entertain questions and discussion from the class. Friday your assignment will be due. On Saturday, you'll receive your grade for the week. On December 21, you'll receive your Final Grade.
Okay, class....questions? Discussion? Don't forget...papers due Friday, not more than 800 words.)

The following is my assignment:
ASSIGNMENT #1 - Answer the question: What does any of this have to do with your personal experience, or the experience of our species upon the earth?
At a certain young age most of us begin having a question asked of us, “What are you going to be when you grow up?” As we mature we begin gravitating toward a career; machinist, policeman, mother, father, teacher; the list is unending. But we do end up taking on a role or several that give meaning and accomplishment to our adult lives. Then we retire, the children are grown, and we find ourselves asking ourselves the question again in an altered manner. “What am I going to be NOW?”
What Neale has presented to us in asking “What is life?” moves this lifetime away from a goal into a process. Becoming a machinist, policeman, mother, father, or teacher becomes an experience used to express ourselves through, refining our expressions of self through that experience. This changes the goal of “becoming” a life-role into the life-role being an activity to experience the goal of becoming “the next greatest version of the grandest vision we have ever had about Who We Are”! The waves of our lifetime moves us to experience and gain refinement of our experiences creating deeper understandings which further refine our expressions of Who We Are.
Then as we reach the end game of this life time and the cessation of the roles we have assumed there will not be the depression that many experience with having those roles end. We actually can use the “golden years” to appreciate the wisdom and refinements we have achieved and share these with those who are following us through this process of life. Then when it is time and the decision has been made that we are complete with the refinements possible in this lifetime we can take our refinements inward with us to rest and prepare for the next great adventure in this playground of illusion. This would be a personal experience of the question, “What is life?”
How this could impact our species upon this planet? When the majority of the peoples of the earth were operating from the understandings that all roles on earth are a process through which we can refine and evolve into the “next greatest version of the grandest vision we have ever had about Who We Are” then we would be assisting each other to that end. Life on this planet would become one of celebrating the achievements and accomplishments of all. The achievements and accomplishments of any one person on the planet would accelerate everyone else’s. “One for all and all for one” would become the standard that all will strive to achieve for the functionality, adaptability, and sustainability of the human race.
EXERCISE #1 - Look around you and see if you can observe Energy vibrating in any form. Make a list of ways in which you notice this occurring.
a) The air conditioner motor is vibrating and humming.
b) The radio is changing the waves in the air producing sound
c) Sunlight streaming into the room is moving the molecules of the air faster creating heat that the air conditioner is slowing down creating cool.
PRACTICAL APPLICATION #1 - Use the knowledge you have gained here in a practical way at least three times before this day is out. Write a short paragraph on how you did this and post it in the Comments Section.
a) I am very good at getting people to be comfortable and enjoying their experience with me in my store. I work at refining this and using it to welcome people to me and my services. I treat each person, to the best of my ability, as myself and as I would want to be treated.
b) I live in the Southwestern US and can be considered hot out here. When people I meet during the day comment upon how hot and uncomfortable they are I remind them that if it wasn’t this hot we wouldn’t be able to appreciate the very pleasant winters we get to enjoy. Mostly they agreed and looked at the heat a little differently.
c) I had a business meeting I had to attend, but really did not want to attend. I got to within 3 miles of the meeting place and had a tire blow out. This happened upon a stretch of the freeway that did not have a shoulder because there was a long concrete barrier I had to pull up next to. This allowed me no room to get out and change the tire. Within just a couple of minutes a highway patrol car pulled up behind me. He told me it was too dangerous where we were and that he would travel slowly behind me with his warning lights on, until we went far enough to get past the barrier. Then he helped me change the tire and get on my way. The timing of all this allowed me to be safe, get the job done and receive help from another all at the same time. It also allowed me to miss that bloody meeting I didn’t want to go to in the first place. Nice!
My experience with this is with humans as well. I can feel the energy vibrating off of people. I am to understand now that this creates the "collective conciousness". I understand that thought never ends and continues to travel endlessly, enough thought of the same consistency colliding with itself creates more dense thought and eventually matter(or action). The same reason why it is believed that prayer chains(?) are so powerful. I know that the energy vibrating out of myself has a very visible effect on every person I come into contact with. Which leads me to realize that my experiences are directly proportionate to the energy that I put into them. Consistently trying to stop negative thoughts about myself or others and replacing it with a positive thought. The Highest Thought I can muster. I think it could work on a global level, against terrorism maybe. If every negative thught one has toward terrorists was replaced with a blessing of love and positive thought, Highest Thought, enough of that energy bombarding them, they couldn't hold out forever. We all need to continue our Soul Work so we can move onto God Work and achieve the ability to promote this message in a way that EVERYONE
can understand and accept.
Hi, I am sorry for the lateness but got confused with the dates. I know it is late for last week's assignment but nevertheless I wanted to submit it and here it goes:
Q#1: Energy? We are all connected. See that "good vibs" statement and the opposite one as well? both are true. We can carry over this energy and whether the nature of the thoughts we are holding at the time, through energy it will be attracted to our experience.
E#1: The sound of the plastic bags when you leave them after emptying; the sound of wood whenever it is too cold or hot; the easiness or difficultness to open locks during hot or cold weather (always); the magneticity of paper when folding or unfolding it.
PA#1: I rubbed a balloon with my hair and it got stock on the wall for about a minute or so; I ran a couple of times my fingers through my hair in the dark and sparkles came; I rubbed a sweater and then hold hands with my son who did same as I and we receive a little electric shock. It all confirms that we and all are pure Energy, tight energy for maintaining our its but energy nevertheless. Therefore we are One.
My spirit and my flesh - body - have differing priorities and they clash at times. What feeds my spirit starves my body at times. What makes my body feel good, makes my spirit feel guilty - but much of this is due to what has been programmed into my mind by the Establishment. Each of these three has a different diet - different desires and needs, and I am here to learn how to balance the three and not loose my mind, body, or spirit in the process... I am also being trained to think with my spirit and my mind in a pure form before it was contaminated by the Establishment. I am being trained to be a God of some degree and not to be confused by outside stimulants. To remain pure of mind body and spirit and to be conscious of reality, not the many illusions thrown at me.
I am also being taught just how insane it is to want to experience the feeling of being an animal... Perhaps I was bored being merely a spirit and looked at the animals and wondered what it would be like to have life not so perfect and predictable... I am learning, and that I cannot deny.
