Prepare for a Cosmic Punch

posted by Karen A. Kay

Weekly Astrology Overview at Tarot.comI’m coming off a lovely couple of weeks — in fact, many of us are, as we’ve been enveloped in a fuzzy Neptune fog that has made it easy to relax a little, put business aside and pursue creative endeavors instead.

In the last week alone I’ve improvised a few meals using my creativity instead of a recipe; assembled 20 new outfits to wear from the clothes I already have in my closet; and Photoshopped my boyfriend’s head on to George Clooney’s body. Just for fun!

But this week isn’t going to be as much fun. The cosmos are about to pack a punch, so I’m gloving up.

Today we’ll experience the third in a series of seven exact Uranus-Pluto squares that are taking place between 2012-1015. This energy is about surprises and transformation, and it’s changing the world as we know it. This means ANYTHING could happen today!

Then, later this week we have a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on Saturday that is going to stir up deep emotions. Sensitivity will be running high that day, and it’s happening in my own 7th House of Partners — that means this will affect relationships for me and all my Gemini peeps.

So you see, we’re not in for the same kind of cosmic coasting we’ve become accustomed to recently. We need to stay on our toes and keep our reflexes sharp. I think I’m going to sleep with my shoes on — in one of those new outfits I assembled, of course.

The good news is that all of this week’s astrological events are designed to wake us up and get us moving forward — to pull us out of that dreamland we’ve been enjoying and force us to change things for the better.

Lost in a Fog

posted by Karen A. Kay

neptuneWhen I read Maria DeSimone’s Weekly Astrology Overview for the week of May 6-13, 2013, I groaned out loud. That’s because it’s all about being lost in a fog, and having a difficult time finding clarity.

For some people, that’s fine. They don’t mind living in a dream world. Navigating the unknown and thinking of it as an adventure. Those people know how to do that thing they call “relax.” It seems like most of those people are also Sagittarius!

For me, however, I’m a bottom-line gal with a serious Capricorn Moon that likes to know exactly what I’m dealing with at all times. My emotional comfort depends on it. Mental fog, do matter how dreamy Neptune makes it, is something I can do without.

That said, I am considering myself warned.

Venus is in Gemini, and today it’s making a square to Neptune that will make us semi-delusional. We may think one thing is happening when the truth is quite another, and we are warned to pay close attention to things that seem too good to be true, especially in love and money.

Heck, I’m usually lost in a fog when it comes to love and money, anway. So maybe this week won’t be so bad.

But don’t just listen to me — see what Maria has to say about all the major Astrology events this week. Then put your low-beams on and proceed with caution.

Go Get ‘Em!

posted by Karen A. Kay

Weekly Astrology Overview for May 6, 2013 at Tarot.comIf you’ve got a case of the Mondays, hold on tight — this is going to be a powerful week, and today’s just the beginning.

Mercury is trine Pluto on this Monday, May 6, which means that both today and tomorrow are key for taking care of business. We may be called upon to make a critical decision that will help us achieve a career or financial goal — and guess what?

I was just told our office is doing performance reviews this week! Hmmmm … I hope it happens today or tomorrow, because if they wait until Wednesday or Thursday I’m worried it won’t go as well.

That’s because there’s a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus on Thursday that can result in unexpected drama and major life changes, as well as the need to let go of something in order to begin again.

Er, that doesn’t sound like ideal energy for a performance review, does it? YOU’RE FIRED!

Just kidding, I think I’m safe, but still — I’d rather utilize the powerful communication energy early in the week to set goals and discuss money matters. It should be easier to get what you want on Monday and Tuesday if you can communicate effectively.

Maria DeSimone has the cosmic scoop on all of this week’s Astrology events if you want to read more. And don’t worry, by the end of the week Venus will move into Gemini and things will lighten up again. Good luck!

May the Fourth Be with You

posted by Karen A. Kay

star-warsAny Star Wars fans out there? I’m gearing up for International Star Wars Day tomorrow (May 4 = May the Fourth Be with You), and it just so happens I’ve been invited to a half-Halloween costume party the same night!

As I’m dusting off my Darth Vader-ess helmet, which I wore to another Star Wars party last year, I’m thinking about all my favorite Star Wars characters and which zodiac signs they would be.

I’ve always been a Star Wars fan, but my boyfriend is even more so. Which means in the last couple of years I’ve become even more familiar with the nuances of every character and I can take a pretty good guess about their Sun signs!

So let’s celebrate Star Wars Day with a look at the Star Wars zodiac signs of our most beloved characters:

Princess Leia: Libra

Leia’s dedication to bringing peace and justice to the Galactic Empire is a perfect fit with Libra’s need for fairness and balance. Leia is also a famous beauty, and Libra is considered the most attractive zodiac sign (having Venus, the planet of love and beauty, as a ruling planet helps).

Han Solo: Aries

This reckless mercenary must be an Aries, the zodiac sign famous for having a headstrong, take-charge attitude. The fact that Han Solo eventually becomes an important figure in the Rebel Alliance is likely due to his Aries leadership skills.

Luke Skywalker: Sagittarius

Luke starts with rather humble beginnings on his small home planet of Tatooine, but he quickly becomes a Jedi knight for the Rebel Alliance and travels all over the galaxy. Sagittarius is the most adventurous zodiac sign, seeking new places, people and experiences.

Yoda: Aquarius

The zodiac’s quirky-yet-brilliant sign of Aquarius is a good match for the eccentric Yoda. Aquarians definitely dance to the beat of a different drummer, and so does this powerful Jedi master.

Chewbacca: Taurus

Steady, earthy Chewbacca must be a Taurus. Chewie is a great sidekick, often a grounding influence to the more erratic Han Solo. Of course, true to the Taurus nature, Chewbacca also has a bit of a stubborn side. HRRRRRRRRRRRAAARHHHHHH

Darth Vader: Scorpio

There’s no better zodiac sign to describe the fallen Jedi and leader of the Dark Side than equally dark, mysterious Scorpio. Especially because Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, Lord of the Underworld.

May the fourth be with you!
