Me and dad, back in the day
We’re coming up on Father’s Day, and if you haven’t yet thought up the perfect way to make Dad’s day, you might want to let the cosmos be your guide.
My own dad is a Leo, so he always appreciates looking good. This is him with me at the Oregon coast about a hundred years ago, and as you can see he was quite handsome — and still is!
I often get him one of those semi-cheesy Hawaiian shirts that never seem to go out of style (mostly because they were never in style to begin with), or a fancy dop kit with expensive, nice-smelling shave cream. And I haven’t had a complaint out of dad, yet!
Here are some more great ideas based on your own dad’s horoscope sign:
Aries (March 21 – April 19) — Fire up the grill! Aries is a fire sign, so get him a new barbecue or accessories to fuel his flame!
Taurus (April 20 – May 20) — Taurus dad’s love to relax, eat, get outdoors and chill. Make him an elaborate dinner, or get him a gift certificate for a massage.
Gemini (May 21 – June 20) — These intellectual dads love to read, watch movies, play with gadgets and video games. Get him something to stimulate his mind!
Cancer (June 21 – July 22) — Cancer dads are softies, so get him something sentimental. Think about a framed family photo or a really sweet card.

Capricorn (December 22 – January 19) — These hardworking dads take their careers and their finances seriously. Try gifting him an engraved money clip, or a new leather briefcase to keep his papers in order.
Aquarius (January 20 – February 18) –Quirky, intellectual Aquarius dads love new technology. Get him a new gadget from the electronics store, like something to help him keep track of those keys he’s always losing!
Pisces (February 19 – March 20) — Artsy Pisces dads often love to write or take photos. Photography equipment is a great gift, or a fancy engraved pen and leather journal to document his dreams.
