Can’t See the Moon? At Least You Can Feel It

posted by Karen A. Kay

Learn about Moon phases at Tarot.comSo, we’re coming off a somewhat amazing New Moon in Libra, and I’m feeling completely recharged. Are you?

Technically, the New Moon was yesterday (Monday, Oct. 15), but its influence lasts for at least 48 hours, so today is still buzzing with energy for me. I can’t stop DOING THINGS.

I have been running around signing up for fitness classes, shopping for holiday gifts, planning out Thanksgiving dinner and thinking more and more about that first novel I plan to write. All of these things are very much in line with the “fresh start” promised by the New Moon every month.

The New Moon kicks off the lunar cycle every month — it appears blacked out in the sky, which is the opposite of the luminous round Full Moon that culminates the cycle. I find it easy to just remember that when I can’t see the Moon, it’s time to start something new … and later when it’s full and bright, I know that things are coming to an end.
