It’s NOT Complicated: Venus in Capricorn

posted by Karen A. Kay

Venus in CapricornOk, here’s a question for all of you who are in relationships or almost-relationships or any kind of “it’s complicated” situation: Has your love life gotten even MORE complicated in the past couple of weeks?

I just want to remind you that Venus is still in Capricorn until February 1, and I’m saying this again because I can sure feel the weight of this heavy transit in my own life.

Mind you, this is not a bad thing — at all! Venus in Capricorn does cause us to take our relationships more seriously, so it can stir up commitment issues and prompt deep talks. But it can also bring us closer together and clear up some of those messy “it’s complicated” concerns.

My boyfriend and I are both Gemini divorcees — can you image what kind of commitment issues THAT brings up? Ha. I joke, but for real — we are both the carefree type to take our romance as it goes and not worry or talk much about the future. That said, sometimes I WORRY ABOUT THE FUTURE.

But since Venus moved into Capricorn, all of a sudden my guy and I became much closer. Nothing else happened that I can point to, but all of a sudden we’ve knocking down a few more barriers and we’re enjoying a more intimate relationship than ever before.

I’m excited about it, and I’m giving a little nod of appreciation to Venus in Capricorn for knowing how important intimacy is and for generating more of it where it was needed.

It’s funny, before this transit I was worried about it. I even wrote about that here. I thought it might put too much pressure on our relationship and freak us out or do some damage. But that hasn’t happened at all! We’re just being there for each other in a deeper way that feels nice and safe and sweet and I like it very much.

Have you noticed a difference in your own love life since Venus moved into Capricorn on January 8? Leave a comment and tell me about it, I want to know!

May Day, May Day! It's Mercury in Taurus!
As a chatty Gemini, I always struggle when communication planet Mercury transits tight-lipped Taurus. But then again, it's probably good for me to shut my mouth and focus on being practical every once in a while. Mercury, my own ruling planet, will be in Taurus for exactly two weeks this time, fr
