Nerd on fire!

Wednesday July 26, 2006

Nerdissimus Ken Jennings is trying too hard to be cool by biting the hand that fed his ungrateful butt $2.5 million. What a jerk.

This should be satire, but it's unfortunately real Invincible Republican Thought in action:

Usually the best way to react to unfunny attempts at humor is to ignore them. I've certainly dropped a few stink bombs in my life when I thought I was trying to be funny.>

The piece isn't that funny, but it is clearly meant as a joke. Unfortunately the AP was too dumb to notice the more obviously satirical parts, such as Jennings's assertion that there should be more categories about "Reality TV" and "Skanks Who Get Naked in Men's Magazines.">

I'm surprised Rod hasn't issued a correction yet.>

You have to remember this guy is a software engineer, not a stand up comic.

The only people worse than software engineers in the comedy department are accountants and tax preparers (trust me on this one, OK?? :-))>
