Considering Eastern Orthodox ? ...
Rod your Wiki notes said you're considering Eastern Orthodox. I'm not up to date with the different Orthodox rites, but is it a Byzantine Rite or something else ? I know some of the Orthodox Rites are in communion with the Pope and the Vatican and some are not. I hope this isn't too personal of a question, but someone said you weren't a Catholic anymore and I was pretty skeptical about the comment. It sounds like you've put some thought into the Eastern Rites and I'd be curious to hear more about them. We are not hard core Latin Mass types, but we're now attending Mass at the Benedictine Monastery regulary and it's a very traditional Latin Mass. The Gregorian chants are really beautiful. Sometimes I don't know what to think about the Catholic church in relation to the rites and the traditional vs. Novus Ordo. I think much seems pretty watered down nowadays, but I hate to see division in the church. In some ways just like the Crunchy Con concept, I'm hoping there will be a rediscovery of beautiful things of the past that have been lost. The example of the Benedictine Monastery is not a bad way to find it.>
