An internal investigation has found that HUD Secretary Alphonso Jackson urged his staff to consider the political loyalties of people they offered contracts to, but no firm evidence that they ever did so.
Hmm. Sounds familiar. Government by cronyism. Is there a pattern here?

This story saddens me, when I think of what an innovator Jackson was as administrator for the Dallas Housing Authority.
I'm sure he's done some good things at HUD, but this sullies his reputation. Plus, he won't get a very warm reception from the private sector once his term at HUD has ended.>
