Bible Girl rocks

Thursday October 5, 2006

Why doesn't someone give Julie Lyons a book contract? She's a cool but non-crazy Annie Lamott, and boy can she ever write.

Oh Yeah - the 'other' word for death!>

Thank you, Alicia. I will check on the link.
My only experience with her books was 'Operating Instructions' and, as the parent of the world's Most Colicky Infant, I thoroughly empathized with her.
I too am pro-choice... nice to hear from another Crunchy Con blogger with such an unpopular view...and, Ann Sanders, pro-choice does not equal pro-death.
Your comment illustrates why I do not wade into some of the more controversial issues raised in this blog.
We 'liberal people of faith' (watsy, Susan, etc.) are sometimes accused of patronizing, sneering elitism when we present an opinion.
I'm in a feisty, Friday afternoon mood. So what accounts for YOUR tone, Ms. Sanders?>

'liberal people of faith' ??? There s a funny one!
Pro-choice actually ONLY equals pro-death...the term pro-choice was developed for the abortion (death) issue..it is only used in that context - pro-choice means to chemically or surgery means to remove a living person from the women's body!! THATS IT! Life or death! The term pro-choice is used to try and rationalize what is actually being done!>

Well, I should have known better than to get into the abortion debate. I'm not offended by Ann Sanders' comments about my post, except her evident outrage about the "liberal people of faith" label.
I do revere Jesus. And I do disagree with you.
Have a blessed holiday weekend.>
