Islam in Europe

Tuesday February 27, 2007

Here's a good overview of the Muslim demographic situation in Europe, how it came to be, and prospects for the future -- this in a just-released paper from an Israeli professor of Islamic and Middle Eastern Studies. Highlights:

+ The aftermath of World War II brought about an acute shortage of manpower in Europe. Former colonies, where manpower was available that required relatively limited cultural adaptation, became the plentiful sources for unskilled laborers who would replenish the dwindling pool of workers in Europe.

+ These workers constructed Muslim communities in certain localities throughout Europe, where their numbers created local majorities that no candidate for elective office could ignore. The growth of these communities required the construction of mosques and Muslim cultural centers, some of which grew into secret lodges of subversion, incitement, and recruitment of radical youth.

+ Muslim communities have imported the Middle Eastern conflict into their host countries, with attending acts of violence and unbridled anti-Semitism toward local Jewish communities which had otherwise lived peacefully except during the Holocaust interregnum.

+ Some European Muslim leaders make no secret of their intent to change Europe to their tune, not to adapt to it. They demand their own school systems, in their own native languages, financed by the host state and, in the long run, to its own detriment.

+ European countries have adopted multiculturalism, and increasingly multilingualism, as an imposed reality whereby they have abdicated their role to absorb the newcomers and integrate them into the existing systems, and instead let the immigrants dictate their own visions of "integration," which means in effect separatism, secession, or an eventual takeover when demography had run its course.

+ There are already areas in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Britain where Muslim children constitute the majority of the school population. In addition, there are a growing numbers of converts to Islam in major European countries such as France and Britain - 50,000 in each in the past decade.

I have recently read that many young Muslims in France are converting to Christianity!! I also find, being from Europe, that many young Muslims are caught up in a web of crime and that the backslash by the native population is largely a response to that. Furthermore, Islamic fundamentalism is mostly a reaction to crime in their own ranks not the perceived immorality around them. I must admit that many Muslim do blame the culture around them for the moral decline. This is no different from believing Christians. The difference is that Christians see the cause partly in the increased secularization of culture, whereas Muslims see Christianity as being the source of this secularization itself with the division between the worldly and the heavenly in Christianity. A division that does not exist in Islam.

Let's face it, the influx of Muslims into Western Europe is karmic blowback from the colonialism of the 19th century. Or, as one Brit of Pakistani origin was heard to say, "We are here because you were there."

Let's face it, the influx of Muslims into Western Europe is karmic blowback from the colonialism of the 19th century. The influx of Muslims in Europe is due to things only: 1) high Muslim birthrate 2) low European birthrate Your colonialism 200-400 years ago or so was caused by two things: 1) high European birthrate 2) lower native birthrates It really is this simple. All the agonizing, rationalizing, and warmongering about Muslims on this thread is a joke. It is all about the numbers . Just like Europeans invaded America all the way to California and Texas because they were breeding like rabbits, so to will any group of people who does likewise. If in doubt, look at Hispanics taking over the Southwest with language, politics, and culture, with a mere TFR of 3.5! Some Muslim TFR's are nearly 7. They cannot be stopped over the long haul except by filling one's land with other bodies. All species breed to fill their environment. Humans are no exception. If one group (Europeans in this case) chooses not to, another more robust group of humans that are better fit for suvival will be happy to do so. Just like Muslims eventually took Constantinople (now Istanbul) due to the low population base of the Christians there, so to will Muslims eventually take Rome and London. In these more civilized times, however, they will take it by vote, not war.

"Muslim communities have imported the Middle Eastern conflict into their host countries, with attending acts of violence and unbridled anti-Semitism toward local Jewish communities which had otherwise lived peacefully except during the Holocaust interregnum." This is comedy gold.
