"Q: What if Mary had taken Plan B after the Lord filled her with his hot, white, sticky Holy Spirit? A: You’d have to justify your misogyny with another ancient mythology."
Beautiful. Just beautiful. Moran asks: "If a Republican candidate teamed up with a right-wing blogger who spewed this kind of venom, how would people react?" Edwards had better can this ragemonkey now, or he's going to be answering questions like this from here on out. Maybe he didn't know all this about her before hiring her, but he's got no excuse now. I find it impossible to believe that there are no first-rate left-of-center bloggers who aren't so crack-brained by hate.

Example please.
A person saying he or she believers homosexuality is immoral. Or someone taking the ideas of "The Bell Curve" seriously. Or someone objecting to affirmative action policies. And to be fair, this has happened to a degree on the right, not just the left. Accusing good-faith critics of Israel of being anti-Semitic is one that comes to mind.
It's safe to say that college campuses are bereft of any real dialogue; PC took over long ago. Yes, the snotty rich kid rebelling against dad, and the prof who encourages the Che worship...two peas in a pod. The profs suffer from the Peter Pan Syndrome, and ruin the kids in the process. The left STILL talks revolution and communism, while history scoffs at the foolishness. I personally know of teachers who are so wrapped up in making kids radical, that they aren't able to take care of their own hygiene. But, the right has plenty of dummies too. We'll see how much gets done about global warming...
That is sick. All the same, look at the good side. No whack-job Catholics (or Orthodox, or any Christians who believe in the Virgin Birth) are threatening to break into her house and mutilate her.
Okay, I'm a progressive, and I am not now and never have been a "snotty rich kid." I'm an elderly lawyer who goes to religious services once a week, makes a not-very-lavish living for myself and my disabled husband (to whom, BTW, I've been married for 40+ years), and tries to live a decent life. I get really tired of all this invective. Whatever happened to the Beliefnet code of conduct?
