Combox housekeeping

Tuesday July 17, 2007

A housekeeping note: there was a big problem with the comboxes last night, resulting in lots of posts being deleted inadvertently. I don't know whether or not they're back up -- we just got Internet service back here at the newspaper -- but I'm sure the Bnet web elves are now or have been working on it. Wanted to let y'all know this because there was some anger and paranoia in the comboxes from people who thought I was deleting their stuff for content reasons. The only people whose stuff I routinely delete are a handful of trolls who have been banned. If your posting doesn't appear, or gets deleted, and you can't figure out why, either assume a technical glitch, or e-mail me (rdreher(at)dallasnews.com). N.B., I have no way of recovering a post that failed to appear.
