Crunchy Kirk

Categories: Conservatism

When I gave my speech earlier this year at the ISI Russell Kirk conference, I was approached afterward by Max Goss of the Right Reason blog. Max had been a critic of "Crunchy Cons," but said that hearing me talk about how much the cc sensibility derived from Kirk's insights made him want to give it a second look.

Max kindly asked for permission to reprint the speech on Right Reason. It took me forever to find the electronic copy of the thing, but I finally did, and sent it to him. Now it's up on Right Reason. Here's Part I. And here's Part II.

I look forward to reading it. Interesting to note that someone from Right Reason is a critic . . . I have both of you on my favorite feeds list (though I am new to both blogs).
