Honest Al rides again

In re the Alberto Gonzales situation, I used to be disgusted, then I tried to be amused. Now I'm just disgusted again. How does this calamitous mediocrity still preside over the Justice Department? He cannot be trusted to tell the truth, and the best that can be said for him in this regard is that he's too dumb to remember the facts. Personally, I don't think he's dumb, but still, whether he's a clod or corrupt, or both, it is a disgrace that he is the justice minister in the world's most powerful nation.

Why are the Senate Republicans not, with one voice, demanding his ouster? One can see why they're not stiffing Bush on Iraq, but Gonzales? Leaving aside the partisan political side of all this, it's unacceptable, or ought to be, to have a man like this running the U.S. Department of Justice.

Where was I, Leonard?

I was on FreeRepublic, bashing the criminal Clinton Administration nearly everyday as "Aristophanes."

Then one day I started questioning the intelligence of the moron running for president. Despite carrying water for the movement, I got banned pretty quickly thereafter.

Don't assume that we "Bush-bashers" are liberals. Some of us are arch-conservatives who can't stand to see what DUH-bya did to our movement.

I really never get tired of the "Well *they* did it, too!" school of morality.
