Beliefnet's God-o-Meter

Friday September 28, 2007

Categories: Politics (general)

Behold, the awesomeness that is Beliefnet's God-o-Meter, an online tool that scientifically measures the role religion is taking in our national political discussion. What a cool thing this is. Check out this commentary about Ron Paul's strong second-place finish in a straw poll of evangelical activists in South Carolina. Says God-o-Meter: "With Paul being the only Republican candidate to virulently oppose the Iraq war, are even evangelical activists tiring of the GOP’s ways?"

(P.S. You pronounce it "gah-DOM-itter," not "GOD-oh-meeter.")

Would this be anything like the "This Week In God" segment that was on The Daily Show? :-)

Are you sure about the pronounciation? It seems like it should be "Godometer," while the hyphens in "God-o-Meter" are clearly meant to separate the sounds.

God-bless. :-)

Sorry for the incomplete post earlier.

Each time I've clicked on the God - O - Meter link, I get a blank screen and the computer doesn't respond when you click it off.

I think something's verklempt somewhere :-).
