Go, Mitch, go!

Friday September 21, 2007

Categories: Family

David Kuo asks for our prayers for a little boy dying of cancer. Look at Mitch's face. What a sweet and brave-looking kid. His father writes:

If God chooses to heal Mitchell, it will indeed be a miracle. If not, then we shall give praise and thanks for time we have gotten to spend with him.

Either way, Mitchell wins.

Either way, God reigns.

Go, Mitch, go!

"No, Kim's "either way" switched the winning to "religious hucksters". Looks to me like that was the whole point of her post. The reiteration word for word would be taken as sarcastic or ironic."

Well, you know Kim better than I. I merely read it as complaining of hucksters making hay from Mitch's dying-winning for their own purposes, not a thread-misplaced post.

I don't know Kim at all. I was just going by what she wrote. I didn't take it as a thread-misplaced post, it seemed to apply to this thread. Now that you've reversed yourself, it looks like you read it the same way as Rod and I did after all.

Meh, that SWOOOOSSSHH!!!! is the sound of the entire meaning* of this episode zooming far above your head. But okay, you win. ;-)

*here's your clue:

Rod: "Sometimes, I really hate your attitude, Kim. The little boy is [winning]."

Brad, do you mean what I think you mean here? That you were deliberately twisting the meaning of Kim's words because you didn't like Rod's response? Just to score cheap points? Sounds like something a f*cking Communist would do. I actually suspected this after seeing how you argued on other threads, but was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt - I thought you might just be stupid. But it turns out you are a stupid cynic. I may be an atheist, and Rod may be a believer, but we're on a whole 'nother side from you.

"Brad, do you mean what I think you mean here?"

No.

"I may be an atheist, and Rod may be a believer, but we're on a whole 'nother side from you."

And good for you.
