Dale Fushek was a superstar Catholic priest who founded Life Teen, a parish ministry for youth. And then he ran afoul of the law, and got his teenful self indicted on sexual abuse of minors charges. Well, now Fushek is leaving the priesthood and starting his own "praise and worship center." Excerpt:
He faces one count of assault, five counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and one count of indecent exposure. He is accused of engaging in sexually related discussions with teenagers during confessions and exposing himself to teens as he got into his hot tub.Fushek has said he is innocent of all charges.
Known as “Monsignor Dale” at St. Timothy’s, where he served as pastor for 20 years, Fushek co-founded the national Life Teen program and served as vicar general of the Catholic Diocese of Phoenix.
On Thanksgiving Day, he said he was happy to be back before a group of worshippers.
“I feel alive again,” he said after the two-hour service Thursday morning. “This was inspiring and beautiful. I thought there was a really good spirit among the people here.”

First, I don't have a dog in this hunt. Although a Catholic in Phoenix, I have seen Fushek all of twice. I attend an othodox Novus Ordo parish and frequently atend the Latin Mass parish that we host. I frankly have deep reservations about the Life Teen style of worship. We must be careful to be charitable. Terturllian died apostate. Many men, once faithful, have made shipreck of their faith. I have known several very serious Christians discipled at St Timothy's. Souls have been saved under Fr Fushak's leadership. Now souls will be lost. Our enemy attacks where he may do the most damage. Pray that we may not enter into temptation. And let us pray for our prodigal brother Dale that he may return to the Father.

Thank you, Ann, but don't waste your time with them; they will only start quoting scripture to prove that St. Paul and even Jesus were homosexuals, etc.
And two hours long, to boot. Back in his Catholic days, Mass only allowed him to be in the spotlight for an hour at a time. Whatever happened to anonymous service to the Lord?
Bishop O'Brien's tenure in Phoenix is going to be giving us gifts like this for years to come, I think.
