Seeing that Church of England Bishop Michael Nazir-Ali is now under police protection after having received death threats for asserting that -- wait for it -- some Islamic parts of England had become no-go areas for Christians, and that some of Dr. Nazir-Ali's C of E colleagues have responded with typical gutlessness to his plight, Alan Jacobs finds he's sick and tired of the depressing ritual that accompanies stories like this.

The death threats directed at Bishop Nazir-Ali essentially prove his thesis.
