Death of England watch

UK police have advised two Christian evangelists to stay away from Muslim areas.

The evangelists say they were threatened with arrest for committing a "hate crime" and were told they risked being beaten up if they returned. The incident will fuel fears that "no-go areas" for Christians are emerging in British towns and cities, as the Rt Rev Michael Nazir-Ali, the Bishop of Rochester, claimed in The Sunday Telegraph this year.

Arthur Cunningham, 48, and Joseph Abraham, 65, both full-time evangelical ministers, have launched legal action against West Midlands Police, claiming the officer infringed their right to profess their religion.

Mr Abraham said: "I couldn't believe this was happening in Britain. The Bishop of Rochester was criticised by the Church of England recently when he said there were no-go areas in Britain but he was right; there are certainly no-go areas for Christians who want to share the gospel."

"Hate crimes" for free speech. Thus does the multicultural state collaborate in its own destruction.

Per English Voice: "This [tirade against President Bush and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan] is just dumb. It's unrepresentative of Britain."

The Dixie Chicks and Tony Blair might disagree with you as to how unrepresentative it is.

Huh

English Voice:

When it comes to the West Midland's Police Department, it does seem to be more than " . . . one dumb PCSO trying to throw his weight around.":

The "Police" in the above link are the very same West Midland's Police Department in this blog entry. So then, this department is not only enforcing shariah based laws which forbid proselytizing, they're also attempting to have documentary producers prosecuted for disclosing what's going on in area mosques. As the following article indicates, they've also made a point of informing area islamists about at least one impending terror raid:

They're even suing the police force.

Americans to their fingertips!

Lynn, thanks for those links.

"Europe? Not so much - Muslims on one side, liberals on the other, united by a common enemy."

Conflating Western Europe with Europe in general is very irritating to me. Of course Western Europe is in trouble, but the nations of Eastern Europe are undergoing somewhat of a religious revival - and, Kosovan independence notwithstanding (which was the result of imposition by clueless Anglos, let us not forget), Poland, Bulgaria, Romania, Belarus, et al are relatively muslim-free - and have little patience for the pluralistic, socially liberal attitudes of the West. And while Russia does have a problem in Chechnya, this is limited to a tiny, tiny fraction of Russia's population and territory. Who knows - maybe some day Europe will be culturally and religiously domninated by the East. That would be refreshing.

And even in Western Europe there is still hope - conservative parties are being swept into power every month, it seems. Italy, France, Switzerland, etc all have nominally conservative governments.
