Bill Kauffman at Ron Paul rally -- video

Wednesday September 3, 2008

Categories: Conservatism, Culture

Here's Part 1 of Bill Kauffman's great speech at the Ron Paul rally. He begins by quoting Wendell Berry. To give you an idea of what this is about, this passage:

I am of this other America, this unseen America. ...It is a smaller, homelier, peaceful country. And this alternative America is reasserting itself in the farmer's markets, in home schools, in book clubs, in the buy local and eat local and homebrew movements. Even at the polling place, where over 1 million Americans voted for Ron Paul for president of these United States.

Part 2 is below, after the jump...

Here's the conclusion of Kauffman's speech:

Was Tucker Carlson there as a member of the media or as a supporter? I mean, he seemed charmed by Paul after his piece on him, but I didn't peg the bow-tied one as a believer.

Excellent. It's always nice to see the kind of conservative I am, up on stage and in the limelight, telling it like it is, like it was and like it should should be.
