Gustav loses punch

Monday September 1, 2008

Gustav is coming ashore now, having lost much of its punch:

Army Corps of Engineers chiefs say they anticipate no storm surge flooding due to Hurricane Gustav, which is turning out to be far less than what was previously forecast by the National Weather Service.

Thank God. Thank God.

That is fantastic news - those of us here in East Texas were viewing the storm path with concern also.

Amen.

I hope that once it's established that New Orleans is not going to be seriously wounded or destroyed, Republicans will go ahead with the convention.

should we thank God that a storm which God is responsible for didn't cause greater damage to NO?

I don't get it...
God is responsible for this Creation...
and so is wholly responsible for hurricanes...
I don't see where thanks is appropriate...

safety faith hope love joy peace to all...
Forgive God...
it's "His" hurricane, after all...

In lieu of condolences to Michael Moore and Don Fowler, their families ask that contributions be made to the Barack Obama Presidential Campaign.
