lose small joys in search of the big happiness.....

great quote - I think there are truly only small everyday joys - friends, family, the beauty of this wonderful world, books, a good meal, the pleasure of growing food and flowers.

A source of great joy to me - a cabinet full of all those lovely jars of preserved fruits, berries and veggies. Feel like I have a treasure chest.

Nice post. Thanks Rod.

Get a still and make those corn squezings. Then you can barter for all those jars of goodies. I have a cousin that does this and barters for food and labor, has worked well for him over 40 years.

I love West Virginia. (My mother hails from there, and although I've lived in Florida my entire life, it holds a special place in my heart.) It is one of the prettiest states and definitely farm country!
