Plus you picked a band who had two members die drug-related deaths and one who was snared in a child pornography sting...all after complaining about Michael Jackson's issues.

I'm sure your point in putting up this clip today was to show that in spite of all homophobic vitriol the past few months you recognize the importance of the contribution of openly gay men like Pete Townsend to our culture. Thanks.

Steve, Pete is openly heterosexual.
Pete Townshend did an interview about six, seven years ago stating he is is hetero, not bi or homosexual. He was married for thirty-odd years, is divorced with 3 kids between 20 and 40.
Pete Townshend got busted with child pornography in 2001. He was later cleared but so was Michael Jackson and OJ.
Your double standards are almost racist.

No qualifiers here: that was one of the sleaziest pieces of rhetoric I've ever seen online. I've said all I'm ever going to say to you.
Rod, did you see that in Newsweek's list of 50 "Books for Our Times", number 11 was The Unsettling of America by Wendell Berry?
FYI There was "no" child pornography found on Townshend's computers, and the police "confirmed" that he contacted them when he found what he found. His only mistake is that he tried to be a vigilante against it instead of letting the (slow-moving) authorities do it themselves. Please, don't just listen to headlines, you gullible little person. Next time, try to actually follow up and find out what really happened before you spread horrible rumours about someone. And why in the heck would you think he was gay?! Do you know nothing about him? Sheesh! The man loves women. And breasts.
You should read more about Pete. I've followed him his whole career and have all his albums. There's much more to him than you think. Drug addict, have homosexual relations but is not a homosexual or bi, and was arrested and cautioned (as well as being a registered sex offender for five years) for accessing a child porn site. Get you facts straight before you come after me.
