He has died at 97. Loved that guy as Omar Bradley in "Patton," and as the street priest in "On the Waterfront." But did you know that the former steelworker names Mladen Sekulovich was married to the same woman for 70 years? God bless him and his memory.

I read about his long marriage a few years back. Some actors do manage long marriages.

It also seems I read he was Eastern Orthodox or at least originally was Orthodox.

And was, according to NPR this morning, born in Gary, Ind. It's been a bad week for Gary, not that they've had many good ones in recent years.

I don't think it was possible for Karl Malden to ever do a bad role as an actor. His portrait of General Bradley is a true standout.

In the short lived TV series SKAG that he starred in he was on screen what he was in real life a Serbian Orthodox.
