so no one cares about how awesome dogs are? they'd rather just skip this and start throwing out the same old arguements about gay marriage and cheating heteros? for shame people.

last idea: maybe this post could drum up some comments if Rod updated it to say that those two dogs want to get gay married and adopt that kid. :)

Dogs are the best. One of the few things human beings can say, in the last analysis, to redeem ourselves, is that dogs love us.

My dog knows all my faults and he loves me anyway.

I grew up with Labs, back before everyone had them. Now I have a rescued old Golden who is an enthusiastic napper and just the site of her slowly wagging tail and laughing eyes can make a whole frustrating day of dealing with humanity melt away. Dogs are God's gift. Other than horses there is not an animal on the planet who seems to prefer us to their own kind and who genuinely seem concerned for our welfare.

Dogs are angels in canine form. I have a golden retriever who I got thru a local rescue association. He is a better man than I am in every way.

A bumper sticker my friend told me about says it best: "Be the person your dog thinks you are."

Roberto,
My aunt has a version of your bumper sticker that might be more apropos for this group. "Lord, help me be the person my dog thinks I am." That's a good aspiration for the religious and non-religious alike.
