AROUND THE WORLD WITH COURAGE

DOESN’T ALWAYS ROAR.  From banners over firehouse doors after September 11, 2001, to the covers of cancer patient journals…my poem about courage goes around the globe.

courage doesn’t always roar. sometimes courage is the quiet

voice at the end of the day saying, “i will try again, tomorrow.”

An expectant mother of twins, Julee Tilman, loved these words so well she made them into a rubber stamp set at her very own company, Verve Stamps.  I enjoyed meeting up with her and working out the whole issue of copyright.  A lot of people think, because they see this poem so many places, that I must be one of those “dead poets.”  I’m alive!  Honored to earn my living as an author.  So we worked that out and today she treated me to my very own hand made/stamped card.  Yes, I am going to share it with you.  And for you artisans and crafters out that that love rubber stamps as much or more than me….I’m going to share something else!  Julee maintains an inspiring blog where she generously shares the “how I did it” of fantastic images and creations.  Find her at www.poeticartistry.blogspot.com when you’ve soaked up your portion of inspiration here at beliefnet.com!

If you have a personal story about the role that the courage poem as played in your experience,

I would sure like to hear it and share it.

Love and courage with HeART,  mary anne
