Daily Joys and Simple Pleasures

Daily Joys and Simple Pleasures

Bio

I’ve been enjoying various forms of “scribbling” since I was two. In fact, my first performance art piece was with a permanent black marker on the bright yellow wall of my family’s breakfast nook. The response was a surprising life lesson on how to deal with critics! Such early criticism of my work did not deter me and I began my adventure into poetry in the second grade. Teachers encouraged me in my innovative ways...Mrs. Schatz gave me origami papers from a trip to Japan and inspired my third grade mind to dream of faraway places and to treasure the feel of beautiful papers. In fourth grade I discovered the profound pleasure of sending and receiving mail and began dreaming of the day when I might start my own greeting card company.

I found the courage to start my own company in 1986. (maryanneradmacher.com) With eighteen greeting cards...each hand crafted...I entered an industry which I am proud to still be involved with today. Now there are hundreds of greeting cards and posters providing my own style of encouragement and inspiration. Then and now, I know wise individuals who inspire me to rise to the pinnacle of my vision. I long to inspire others to breathe in the whisper of their own strength and longings. It is the space in between the notes, that pause and partner note, that is known as the grace note, that makes the music memorable. It is the grace of silence between the words that gives poetry its deepest meaning. In those silences and ordinary spaces I draw out deep joys and celebrate the simple pleasures of our days. Inspiration doesn’t have to be complex to be effective.

I actively pursue my creative work and my words and works are licensed with Demdaco, maryanneradmacher.com, Brush Dance, Quotable Cards, Hot Off The Press, My Spirit Garden, Juststickemup.com; among others.
