The Deacon's Bench

The Deacon's Bench

What does CBS stand for?

In response to the Tim Tebow ad, the juvenile grandmothers below offer one profane answer. (Yes, there’s profanity here, so be forewarned — although anyone with two brain cells to rub together can figure it out without even watching it.)

Are the pro-choicers really this desperate? This is just embarrassing. (Part of me thinks this was put out by pro-lifers, intent on making the other side look bad … )

Meet Montana's married priest
Earlier this week, I posted an item about Montana getting its first married priest. Now a local TV station has hopped on the bandwagon. Take a look, below.

Big day in the Big Easy: 10 new deacons
Deacon Mike Talbot has the scoop: 10 men today were ordained as Permanent Deacons for the Archdiocese of New Orleans. This group of men was formally selected on the day the evacuation of New Orleans began as Hurricane Katrina approached. The immediate aftermath of the storm for this class would be

"Gesu Bambino," anyone? This is one of my favorites, and nobody does it better than these gals: Kathleen Battle and Frederica von Staade. Enjoy.

The “Raging Grannies” are too old to have children or abort them. I’m not sure why they’re so pissed off. They don’t have a dog in the fight any more than a white male guy does.

Wonder how many of them are nuns. Doubt they have many grandkids as they were killed long ago. One thing is sure, they are all democrats. 50,000,000 dead and counting is not enough. They want more blood.

Unfortunatley this is probably true. I know too many older ladies who think I am wrong because I don’t believe in abortion they want it legal and will fight for it. They accually get anngry that I am pro-life.

Thanks, Deacon Greg, for posting it. I believe The Anchoress posted it on her blog, as well.
You are so right about the sophmoric approach these women in the video are taking. I’d be embarrassed to be one of their children or grandchildren.

What a shame! The Bible says, “Professing to be wise, they became fools…”. Sadly, these older ladies, who you would think would have some wisdom after their 60+ years, have turned their back on family and religion, and are passionate about an agenda. Wow! I’m sure glad that my grandma’s and my kids’ grandmas’ are nothing like this, but love family, children, and are a great example, full of wisdom.
