The iconic ’50s TV star (“Leave It to Beaver”) passed away today at the age of 94. Her obit is here.
But some of us will always remember her, first and foremost, for this classic moment from “Airplane.”

…not sure if this is the scene she’d like to be remembered by, but still funny.

Remembering her in Leave it to Beaver, in her dress, apron, pearls etc. that made her super mom!

What a way to remember the lady, I wish society wasn’t so hung up today.
RIP June.

We remember her in airplane because it was like watching June Cleaver get up and speak “jive” and that’s why it was so funny. Rip, what a great actress, and fun lady.

What a class act. The woman was way more than just a few lines in a B class comedy jive schtick, but what an adventurous, hip lady she was! Oh my gosh, over 90! There were so many life lessons June & family taught & reminded over the decades. The lessons are so simple & basic to American culture and who we are as Americans. Americans(all of us!) are thoughtful, generous, dedicated, hard working, forward thinking, accepting, rebellious, comical, concervative, independent, liberal, historic, happy, loving, religious, believers and much much more!!! Thank you Barbara(June Cleaver)Billingsly for all the fun and reminders! kgb

I was six when the show started, so Beaver, Larry, Gilbert, Whitey etc. were my peers. I still love the show today. RIP Barbara!

This is why society should value its seniors more, especially when they’re like Barbara.
RIP Barbara, aka June.
